    Abstract: A thin and light webbing having a high strength per warp yarn unit, maintaining abrasion resistance, and using, as a warp yarn, a very strong polyester multifilament yarn for a seat belt made by fine single-yarn fibers. A yarn obtained by performing a twisting process of a high degree of twist is used as a warp yarn. The polyester multifilament yarn of fine single-fibers is essential to be woven at the maximum stretch ratio in a yarn making process to obtain a very-strong polyester fiber for a seat belt. A multifilament yarn and/or a monofilament yarn of polyester is/are used as weft yarns. By making the weft yarns and warp yarns cross each other so as to be woven in a belt like configuration, a webbing having a very high strength per unit of warp yarns, using low-cost base yarns, and maintaining abrasion resistance is obtained.

The metallic surface rollers (5-2 through 5-4) are arranged in a non-contacted state with each other and positively driven to rotate via a suitable drive mechanism (6).

    Abstract: A creel 1 with twisting devices is capable of directly supplying twisted yarns from bobbins carrying non-twisted yarns to a loom or a warper, and of producing not only normal fabric but also a fabric having a low weft density woven at a higher rate or a fabric using hard-twist yarns as warps. A plurality of rotatable spindles 8, each carrying a bobbin 3 on which a non-twisted yarn 2 is wound, are arranged on a frame 18. The yarns 2 withdrawn from the bobbins 3 on the spindles 8 are twisted and arranged to form a yarn sheet 19. The spindles 8 are rotatably secured via bearings to the frame 18 of the creel 1 at the center of a rotary shaft section 8' which is arranged in a horizontal direction. On both ends of the rotary shaft section 8', a section for supporting the bobbin 3 carrying the non-twisted yarn 2 is formed, on which a two-for-one twisting device 21 is provided.

    Abstract: A creel for directly supplying twisted yarns to a machine (13) such as a loom or warper from a plurality of yarn bobbins (3) arranged on a creel (1) for holding non-twisted yarn (2). Two banks of bobbins (3), optionally contrarotate at a predetermined speed to respectively provide "S-twisted" and "Z-twisted" yarn streams (4) having a desired twist number. The bobbins (3) are disposed on a plurality of spindles (5) that are driven by suitable drives (6). A bobbin attachment (7) is mounted at a free end of each bobbin (3) and fixedly supported on the spindle (5). A yarn storage (8) is provided on the attachment (7) and includes a yarn adjustment ring (9) for providing yarn delivery in a stable manner under appropriate tension. Once the yarn has passed the yarn storage (8) and yarn adjustment ring (9), a desired twist is imparted to the yarn (2), and twisted yarn (4) is delivered to the machine (13).

    Abstract: A creel which can deliver untwisted yarns from bobbins in a weaving machine while at a same time twisting them or else twisting some of such untwisted yarns in the S twist and the remaining untwisted yarns in the Z twist with relative low investment for equipments. The creel employs a mechanism similar to a ring twisting mechanism and includes a required number of spindles for rotating bobbins supported thereon, a ring secured in a concentrical relationship to each of the spindles, a traveler mounted for movement on each of the rings, and a driving device for driving the spindles to rotate in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction such that when the untwisted yarns are unwound from the bobbins via the travelers, a twist in the S or Z direction may be applied to the untwisted yarns at a same time.
