Patent number: 8282461Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for presenting payouts in primary and/or secondary gaming activities. A plurality of concentric wheels, rings, or other shapes are provided, where each includes a plurality of different symbols, numbers, or other indicia that can be used as a part of a collective payout award. The wheels, rings, or shapes are rotated, and at least one segment designator is provided to demarcate segments of each wheel, ring, or shape as an active segment when the wheels, rings, or shapes stop spinning. The payout amount is based on the aggregate of the symbols, numbers, and/or other indicia presented via the segment designator(s) when the spinning wheels, rings, or shapes have come to rest. In an alternate embodiment, the segment designators are rotated, and demarcate segments of each wheel, ring, or shape as an active segment when the segment designators stop spinning.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2004Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: King Show Games, LLCInventors: Bradley Berman, Adam Martin

Patent number: 6997804Abstract: An apparatus and method for facilitating participation in a slot game. A display grid having a plurality of active display segments is presented. Symbols are randomly presented in each active display segment that has not expired. The active display segments that have expired in response to at least one randomly-selected expiration parameter are deactivated. The presentation of symbols in each of the active display segments, and the deactivation of active display segments that have expired, is repeated until a predetermined number of the active display segments have been deactivated through expiration.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2003Date of Patent: February 14, 2006Assignee: King Show Games LLCInventor: Bradley Berman

Patent number: 6896615Abstract: A method and apparatus for use in gaming activities such as slot machines. A display grid having a multiple display segments is presented, where one or more of the display segments is presented having multiple display subsegments. Each of the display subsegments presents a subsegment symbol independently of the other display subsegments in its respective display segment. Paylines are created from a plurality of the display segments, where each of the subsegment symbols of each of the display subsegments is independently used in formulating payout results for each of the paylines in which the display segment is affiliated. Paylines may be dynamically created at any location as a result of corresponding symbols occurring in a predetermined number of adjacent display segments and/or subsegments.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2001Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: King Show Games, LLCInventor: Bradley Berman

Publication number: 20040102235Abstract: A method and apparatus is for aggregately playing multiple gaming activity events en masse, where the gaming activity events would otherwise require participation in a successive fashion. An aggregate play mode is initiated, and a number of gaming activity events to be associated with the aggregate play is identified. A random number set is generated for each gaming activity event included in the aggregate play, where each random number set corresponds to an individual payout result for its respective gaming activity event. A collective payout result is provided, which includes all of the individual payout results associated with the aggregate play.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2003Publication date: May 27, 2004Applicant: King Show Games LLCInventor: Bradley Berman

Patent number: 6632140Abstract: A system and method for facilitating participation by a player in a bonus event of a slot machine. A display grid associated with the slot machine is presented, where the display grid includes a plurality of active display segments. Symbols are presented in each of the active display segments, such as by randomly selecting symbols and displaying a randomly selected symbol in each of the active display segments. At least some of the symbols are discontinue symbols which, if presented in a display segment, causes that display segment to be deactivated, thereby eliminating that display segment from the bonus event. The presentation of symbols and subsequent deactivation of symbols associated with discontinue symbols continues until all of the active display segments have been deactivated.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2001Date of Patent: October 14, 2003Assignee: King Show Games, LLCInventors: Bradley Berman, Chad H.
