Abstract: In an HVAC system, an apparatus and method cleanses glycol-containing heat transfer fluid from the HVAC system in a batch process. Heat transfer liquid is admitted to the apparatus from a low pressure side of the system. The heat transfer fluid is filtered in a batch process and returned to a high pressure side of the HVAC system.

Abstract: An aqueous parts washing machine includes a main tank and a submersion tank disposed within the main tank. The submersion tank is supported in spaced relation from the walls and floor of the main tank. An aqueous cleaning solution fills the submersion tank and partially fills the main tank. A pumping system circulates the cleaning solution within the submersion and main tank. The pumping system includes a pump for drawing solution from the main tank and a solution agitation member for receiving solution from the pump and injecting the solution into the submersion tank to agitate solution within the submersion tank. The pumping system further includes a sparging mechanism for projecting solution from the pump across an upper surface of solution within the submersion tank to skim an oil deposit on the upper surface over an edge of the submersion tank.
Abstract: An aqueous parts cleaning apparatus includes a base defining a liquid-containing volume and a basin sized to be received upon an upper end of said base. The basin has a drain disposed to empty into the volume. A pump is provided for pumping liquid into the basin from the base. A heater is provided for heating liquid within the base. An oil skimming weir is provided for skimming oil off the surface of the solution within the base. A second oil skimming weir is provided for skimming oil from solution contained within said basin.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for cleansing a used autombobile anti-freeze solution. The method and apparatus include pre-filtering a used solution with a particulate filter selected to filter contaminant sized greater than a predetermined minimum size. An ultrafiltration membrane filter is provided. The ultrafiltration filter has a semi-permeable membrane separating a concentrate portion from a permeate portion. The pre-filtered solution is passed to the concentrate portion and the permeate portion is connected to a storage tank. Additives are provided for replenishing filtered constituents.
