Abstract: A picking system for the automated picking of articles, comprising a detection station for detecting the position of an article to be picked on a supplying conveyor, and an articulated arm gripper for picking up the article from the storage loading implement from the supplying conveyor and for depositing the article in the order loading implement on a discharge conveyor. The articulated arm gripper comprises an essentially upright longitudinal arm and an articulated arm which can be bent about an angle of articulation and on which a gripping device for gripping the article is provided. The articulated arm gripper is designed for picking up the at least one article to be picked from a storage loading implement which is transported on the supplying conveyor. The longitudinal arm of the articulated arm gripper is at least twice as long as the articulated arm.

  • Patent number: 8801358
Abstract: A method and loading system for order-picking articles in the form of individual articles and/or pack units, in which requested articles are packed, in accordance with the orders, onto destination load carriers and despatched. The requested articles (2) which are to be order-picked, in at least one order-picking station (4), are arranged and/or stacked in the pattern of the destination load carrier (3) on requested and transportable auxiliary load carriers (6), each provided for an order or part of an order. The auxiliary load carrier (6) together with a quantity of articles, provided as layers and/or stacks, to be conveyed to a loading station (5) is automatically transferred as a unit onto a placed-in-position destination load carrier (3) supplied, wherein preferably rolling containers and pallets are used as the destination load carriers.

  • Patent number: 8739958
Abstract: A shipping bay arrangement (1), preferably in an order-picking installation, for accepting and delivering containers (2), with ramps (3) which are arranged next to one another and one above the other, the outlets (A) of which can be reached manually by an operator and on the filling side of which, feeding and filling devices are arranged, wherein the ramps arranged next to one another respectively form a rack level (I, II, III, IV, V) of the shipping rack. A container feeding section (4) leads to a lift (5) of the shipping rack. The lift (5) transports a fed container (2) to a selected rack level, wherein a dedicated rail-guided level conveyor device (6) is provided at each rack level, and receives the fed container (2). The level conveyor device (6) can be made to move transversely in relation to the inlets (E) of the ramps (3) for transporting the fed container (2) to a selected ramp, and for filling the selected ramp with the fed container.

  • Patent number: 8682480
Abstract: An arrangement (1) and to a method is for detecting and controlling piece goods (2), having a code, in a commissioning system. The piece goods are fed on a conveyor line (3) through a scanning device (15), and are identified as actual data and are compared or captured to target data of the piece goods quantity stored in a central computer. The piece goods are separated out if the target data do not match the actual data. The invention proposes that a plurality of ejection devices (13) are provided. Each of the ejection devices (13) fills a positioned order container (25) of a particular commissioning order with piece goods, and piece goods that are not detected or sorted out are discharged to the longitudinal end of the conveyor line (3). The piece goods of various commissioning orders are randomly distributed on the central belt (27) of an automated commissioning machine and fed to the arrangement (1).

  • Patent number: 8682476
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the order picking of items in an order-picking installation (30) with an automatic order-picking device (31) and an associated dynamic-storage rack (1) as a store for replenishing the automatic order-picking device with items. The items are automatically transported, preferably separately according to type, in containers or boxes (2) to the dynamic-storage rack (1) on a driven conveying line (4). After reading and identifying the boxes (2), they are introduced automatically by an activated stationary lift (5) and activated level serving devices (6) of the dynamic-storage rack (1) into selected dynamic-storage channels (3) of the dynamic-storage rack. The channels have exits (A) that can be manually reached by an operator (17).

  • Publication number: 20130223959
Abstract: During picking products (P) stored in high-bay racking (R), the products are transported to manual goods-to-person picking stations (M1-M8) by means of a conveyor system (2). Order transport units (B) can be supplied to the goods-to-person picking stations (M1-M8), into which order transport units products supplied to the goods-to-person picking stations (M1-M8) are picked manually according to picking orders. All products (P) of the high-bay racking (R) which are to be picked manually can be supplied to all goods-to-person picking stations (M1-M8). If a picking order includes products (P) to be picked manually, at least one order transport unit (B) is allocated to those products to be picked manually, wherein each order transport unit is supplied to only one manual goods-to-person picking station (M1-M8) at which all products to be picked manually which have been allocated to this order transport unit are picked.

  • Patent number: 8401695
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for automatically supplying packages, that have been sorted by type, to a column stacker, preferably in a sorting system. The device has at least one supply path (2) on which the packages, which have been sorted by type, are automatically supplied to the column stacker (3) individually and chaotically distributed in partial stacks. The invention proposes that at least two packages (T1, T1) or partial stacks of packages (T2, T2 or T3, T3 or T4, T4 or T5, T5)—as long as said partial stacks are not already randomly present on the supply path (2)—of the same height disposed one directly behind the other be combined with the aid of a package register 1 before being supplied to the column stacker (3) simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20120282068
Abstract: A shelf storage system comprises shelves having several shelf levels arranged on top of each other. Each shelf level has at least one transport aisle between the shelves with storage spaces for products. In the transport aisle, a level operating device for moving to the storage spaces is provided. At least two lifts take products to the shelf levels and fetch them from there. A conveyor transports products toward the lifts and away from them. The lifts are, in each case, connected both to a supplying and to a removing conveyor and thus are, in each case, designed both for receiving products from the conveyor and for supplying these products to the shelf levels as well as for removing products from the shelf levels and transferring these products onto the conveyor.
