Patents Assigned to Knight Vision LLLP
  • Patent number: 10415932
Abstract: A rotatably adjustable mount for removably mounting an NV monocular onto a weapon is disclosed. The mount has a base and a rotatable side fixture. The base is configured to clip onto a rail on the weapon. The side fixture has a battery section, an electronics section and a lever section. The battery section supports a battery. The electronics section is electrically connected to the battery section and includes power-management electronics. The lever section locks and unlocks the NV goggle to the side fixture. The side fixture has a slot configured to receive an NV mounting fixture of the NV monocular and establish electrical contact between the electronics section and the NV monocular. The side fixture is rotatable between an in-line position and an out-of-line position of a downstream day sight supported by the weapon. A night-vision weapon sight that employs the mount is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10054395
Abstract: A multi-spectral weapon sight optical system, a multi-spectral weapon sight, and a multi-spectral weapon sight system are disclosed. The multi-spectral weapon sight optical system includes first and second catadioptric optical systems arranged along a common axis and have a common aperture. The first catadioptric optical system forms a first on-axis image from first radiation having a first wavelength band while substantially transmitting second radiation to the second catadioptric optical system wherein the second radiation has a second wavelength band. The second catadioptric optical system forms a second on-axis image using the second radiation. First and second image sensors respectively receive the first and second images and form respective first and second digital images, which are then electronically fused to form a fused image. The fused image is displayed on a display and viewed as a visible display image using a day sight.

  • Patent number: 9476676
Abstract: A weapon-sight system for use with a weapon for performing wireless target acquisition of a target is disclosed. The system includes a weapon sight that is mountable onto the weapon and adapted to capture a thermal weapon-sight image of the target and transmit a wireless signal representative of the weapon-sight image. The system also includes a display system that is not physically connected to either the weapon sight or to the weapon and that is adapted to capture a thermal display-system image of the target. The display system includes a processor configured to combine the weapon-sight image and the display-system image so that a user can view at least a portion of the weapon-sight image using the display of the display system.
