  • Patent number: 5879167
Abstract: A contact element is used for anticipatory earthing of a plug-in module during insertion in guides of a casing or a modular chassis up to plugging in. In order to ensure a reliable and effective protective earthing and a very early conducting away of electrostatic charges during the plugging-in process, a contact element is provided with a clamping area and a holding area. The clamping area is constructed for contact engagement on a circuit board and the holding area is constructed for retaining the contact element on a cross extrusion of the casing or the modular chassis.

  • Patent number: 5829615
Abstract: The invention relates to an equipment case with a metallic, self-supporting casing and an inner frame forming a reception space for equipment and components and which is fixed to the casing jacket by means of vibration-damping elements spaced from the casing. According to the invention a casing jacket comprising a single part is provided and its base and cover surfaces and vertical lateral parts are formed in a bending process. Angle bevels and a circumferential, front and back hollow section are formed on the casing jacket. The angle bevels are used for the vibration-damping reception of the inner frame, whilst the hollow section of the casing jacket, in the same way as an extruded section of the front and/or back cover contribute to the integral construction of the equipment case and to a particularly good accessory adaptation.

  • Patent number: 5752449
Abstract: A working furniture item or table has a modular construction and is usable as an office and conference table and as a work place for electronics engineers, computers, laboratories and technicians. In order to create a working table which functions correctly and which is subsequently reequippable to comply with individual ergonomic requirements, vertical sections associated with a table top have, in their cavities, a vertical adjustment device for a table top arranged as a first working plane. A horizontal cable duct transverse beam is provided as a reinforcing connection between the vertical sections on either side of the table top. The beam permits an integrated cabling or wiring with further working planes arranged in accordance with an ergonomic space concept.

  • Patent number: 5722269
Abstract: A locking device is used for doors of cabinets or cupboards and, more parularly, for doors of modular cupboard systems. In order to create an operationally reliable, inexpensive locking device which is suitable for narrow counterstops and which permits an installation independently of the fixing side, as well as an inexpensive conversion when the fixing side is changed, the locking device is given a bipartite construction with a handle positioned in the vicinity of a door plate and a bolt mechanism operable by a tumbler. The device has a first door plate area receiving the handle and a second door plate area. A locking movement, initiated by the handle, is subject to a deflection, preferably of approximately 90.degree., in the direction of a counterstop and a closed or open position of at least one locking element in a cabinet or cupboard-side receptacle is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5695263
Abstract: The invention relates to a cabinet for receiving electrical and electronic equipment and subassemblies with facing parts, which comprises a frame of vertical, horizontal and transverse sectional bars interconnected by means of corner connectors. In order to obtain a particularly stable and secure cabinet, which also allows an extremely efficient manufacture and assembly, each corner connector is provided with through holes and guide elements constructed in the space coordinate direction for frontal reception and for the easy, reliable fixing of a sectional bar. In addition, each corner connector has a reception area for fixing a base. The base corner parts are preferably made from a one-piece, metallic flat material.

  • Patent number: 5561886
Abstract: The invention concerns a hinge, in particular a hinge for switch-cabinet and instrument-cabinet doors, the hinge comprising a part fitted to the door and a part fitted to the cabinet which engage with each other for rotational motion by means of at least one hinge pin. In order to ensure that the hinge parts can be separated and reassembled rapidly and simply, the invention calls for at least one hinge part (10, 40) to be designed in two elements, via a first and a second element (11, 12; 41, 42) and that the first and second element (11, 12; 41, 42) can be displaced relative to each other in the longitudinal direction to enable the other part (20; 50) to be inserted and withdrawn again.

  • Patent number: 5503511
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for the spring elastic position fixing of fasteners, e.g. spring nuts, in a recess, e.g. a T-slot. In smooth recesses, a reliable position fixing of a fastener, such as a rail, can be obtained if the fastener is placed in the recess. For spring elastic reception of the fastener, locking areas are formed in the fastener.

  • Patent number: 5068944
Abstract: The carrying handle comprises a handle strip and two terminal legs, which are articulated to the narrow side of the container. The legs are subdivided into two portions, which are interconnected by means of an intermediate joint. The articulation axis of the intermediate joint and of the container side joint are parallel to the handle strip. The leg portions are bent in the inoperative position of the carrying handle, so that they come to rest parallel to one another. Thus, the legs are shortened in the inoperative position, so that they do not project over the outer edges, particularly in the case of narrow containers and are instead located within the predetermined dimensions.

  • Patent number: 5063477
Abstract: The frame has a reception area for receiving plug-in cards or circuit boards and a forced ventilation for the reception area. The forced ventilation is provided by a blower arrangement, as well as an air distributor and air collector, by which a vertical cooling air flow through the gaps of the plug-in cards is produced. The air distributor and air collector are juxtaposed in the depth of the frame and separated from one another by a cooling baffle passing diagonally from top to bottom. The outlet-side opening of the distirbutor is located in the frame cover. When several frames are stacked, this opening cooperates with an inlet arranged in the bottom of the frame for the reception area of the frame place at the top.

  • Patent number: 5040268
Abstract: Two parts of a case hinge are detachably interconnected, i.e. the hinge pin of one part and the hollow cylinder of the other part can be disengaged by axial displacement. Moreover, the hinge pin is rotatably and axially displaceably mounted on the associated hinge part and is pretensioned in an axially resilient manner. It is provided on its free end with a rotation preventer, which engages in non-rotary and axially detachable manner with the other hinge part. On opening and closing the case the hinge pin consequently necessarily performs a rotary movement. In its bearing-side portion, the hinge pin is provided with a radial stop pin, which locks in a bearing-side indentation under a predetermined angle as a result of spring tension and consequently detachably secures the two hinge parts under a predetermined opening angle.

  • Patent number: 5016949
Abstract: A profile frame of a folding door and the associated cabinet-side door frame for a cabinet are described. The profile of the cabinet-side and folding-side vertical beam has a diagonally outwardly open cavity covererd on its end faces by bearing eyes arranged on the horizontal beams. The associated door-side vertical beam is provided with an arcuate step extending longitudinally between the bearing eyes and which is integrated in externally flush manner into the recess of the cabinet-side vertical beam. The arcuate step is coaxial to the bearing eyes and receives the hinge bolts located there. The bolt-side vertical beam of the folding door is preferably provided with a swing bolt, which cooperates over the entire length of the vertical beam with a cabinet-side shoulder and which is operated by means of an eccentric bolt.

  • Patent number: 4984833
Abstract: A lock hook for a door of a computer cabinet is described. The lock hook is pivotable about a pivot axis into a closed and an open position. Commonly, locking devices project out of the main surface of the door of computer cabinets when the lock hooks thereof are in the open position. The present invention solves this problem by pivoting the lock hook completely into an opening in the main surface of the door.
