  • Patent number: 6955168
Abstract: A solar heat collecting apparatus comprises a casing body, a lid for the casing body, a plurality of pillars, and a shield member. The lid for the casing body allows sunlight to pass through the lid and forms a vacuum space in collaboration with the casing body. A plurality of the pillars support the lid. The heat collecting panel is disposed so as to be apart from a side wall of the casing body in the vacuum space, and penetrated by a plurality of the pillars. The shield member blocks at least a part of clearance gaps from the heat collecting panel to the side wall and a plurality of the pillars.

  • Patent number: 6756593
Abstract: A flame sensor comprises a filter which blocks light in an infrared ray region, a filter which blocks stray light, a narrow band filter which passes only light of a band corresponding to a line spectrum of carbonic acid gas resonance radiation generated by a flame, and a broad band filter which passes light of a band which is broader than the band corresponding to the line spectrum, and a plurality of light reception elements which convert lights passing through the narrow and broad band filters to electric signals, the flame sensor judging flame when a difference between intensities of the electric signals is equal to or more than a predetermined value and a ratio between the intensities of the electric signals is within a predetermined range, by assuming that transmission band widths of the narrow and broad band filters are equal, is provided.

  • Patent number: 5722274
Abstract: A lock cylinder set to a lock has an outer cylinder serving as a housing. In the outer cylinder, a first inner cylinder into which an electronic key is inserted and a second inner cylinder connected to a locking/unlocking mechanism of the lock are rotatably set. A connecting pin is movably held by the first inner cylinder to connect the first inner cylinder with the second inner cylinder when the pin advances. A connecting pin control mechanism advances the connecting pin to mechanically hold the advance state of the pin when a proper key is inserted and retreats the connecting pin when the key is extracted. The connecting pin control mechanism has a cam plate contacting the protrusion of the connecting pin. The connecting pin retreats when the cam plate tilts and advances when the cam member rises.

  • Patent number: 4834690
Abstract: A flexible coupling for coupling a drive member with a driven member has a supporting plate to which a first pair of flexible plates and a second pair of flexible plates are fixed in such a way that the former extends in parallel in one direction and the latter extends in parallel in a direction opposite the one direction. To free end portions of the flexible plates, a first and second joint members for connecting the drive and driven members to the flexible coupling, respectively, are connected. When there is a dis-alignment between the axes of the drive and driven members, a bending force is applied to the flexible plates to flex the same, thus absorbing the axial offset therebetween. In this case, since the rotational force to be transmitted is applied in the width direction of the respective plate members, they can be rigid against the rotational force to be transmitted and are hardly distorted thereby.

  • Patent number: 4798068
Abstract: In a cylinder for locks having an outer barrel and an inner cam with a keyhole. In order to lock the movement of the inner cam, a pin is provided in the outer barrel and the pin is engaged into a hole defined in the inner cam to lock the inner cam. The pin is urged by a spring so as to eject the pin from the hole and the pin is inserted into the hole by a driving mechanism utilizing a manual force. The engaging state of the pin with respect to the hole is held by a hold mechanism without any electric power consumption. The hold mechanism is responsive to an electric signal to release the engaging state between the pin and the hole.

  • Patent number: 4027762
Abstract: Each wire of a wire printer is driven by a separate pneumatic motor. Each motor is actuated by compressed air which is selectively passed through an electrically operated valve for each motor. Each valve is actuated by an electric signal indicating whether the associated printing wire should be driven to print a desired character. Coupled between a compressed air source and all of the individual valves is an electrically operated pressure control valve which is normally closed to block transmission of compressed air from the source to the individual valves. After the individual valves are opened by electric signals to permit the printing of a desired character, the control valve is then opened to permit transmission of the compressed air through the opened individual valves to actuate the individual pneumatic motors to drive the print wires necessary to print the desired character.
