    Abstract: A moving paper strip or web is cross-perforated by a perforation roller in cooperation with a counter roller. The perforation roller has a plurality of axially spaced retractable perforation plungers. These perforation plungers form a helical line of plungers on the circumference of the perforation roller to perforate left rising or right rising tear line extending in a direction oblique to a paper web movement direction to form a draw-in tip after separating the paper web along the tear line.
