  • Patent number: 11371606
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for reading off predetermined positions of a gear lever (11). A sensor arrangement (1) with a first sensor component (10) moves with the gear lever (11) and a plurality of second sensor components (S21-S25) interacts with the first sensor component (10), wherein in each of the predetermined positions of the gear lever (11), the first sensor component (10) interacts with at least one second sensor component (S21-S25). A position determination unit (30) compares the current sensor output values with stored sensor output values in a table (40). When a faulty condition is detected in one of the sensor components (S21-S25), the stored sensor output values for the faulty sensor component are updated with the faulty output value of the faulty sensor component in the table (40) of expected sensor output values.

  • Patent number: 11009121
Abstract: A gearshift assembly comprises a shift lever pivotable about first and second axes, a sensor assembly comprising first and second paths of sensors, and a sensor triggering element mounted on an element carrier moveably mounted in a housing and coupled to the shift lever to enable movement of the sensor triggering element along the sensors in response to movements of the shift lever. The element carrier is moveably supported by a guide structure in the housing and coupled by a hinge connection to a link with the link connected to the shift lever. The element carrier performs linear movement in response to pivoting of the shift lever about the first axis to move the sensor triggering element along the first path of sensors, and is pivoted in response to pivoting of the shift lever about the second axis to pivot the sensor triggering element along the second path of sensors.

  • Patent number: 10927902
Abstract: A pneumatic clutch actuator includes an actuator housing, a piston assembly, a bearing carrier, and a locking element. The piston assembly is disposed within the actuator housing and is movable between a first position and a second position. The piston assembly has a piston head, an elongate member extending from the piston head, and a lock ring coupled to the elongate member. The bearing carrier supports a bearing and is slidably disposed on a portion of the actuator housing. The locking element is operatively connected to the piston assembly and engages the bearing carrier to adjust a total length of the piston assembly as the piston assembly moves from the second position towards the first position to compensate for wear of the clutch assembly.

  • Patent number: 10927950
Abstract: A shift-by-wire shift unit for shifting a transmission of a vehicle between R, N, D and P states includes a mono-stable selector element that can be moved in opposite directions. The transmission states R and D can be reached by moving the selector element horizontally from the mono-stable position in a first and a second, opposite direction, respectively. The shift unit also includes a separate input element for changing to transmission state N. The transmission state is changeable from D to R directly by moving the selector element in the first direction, and from R to D directly by moving the selector element in the second direction. The selector element also includes a button element, and the shift unit is arranged such that, when the vehicle is at rest and the transmission is in D or R, actuating the button element effects a change to the transmission state P.

  • Patent number: 10889256
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for controlling a plurality of components of a vehicle that are configured to emit heat when activated. A controller receives heat demand information about the activated components and determines from the heat demand information, an amount of power available for consumption by all of the activated components. The controller actively allocates power between the activated components according to the determined amount of power available such that an actual amount of power consumed by all of the activated components does not exceed the determined amount of power available.
