  • Patent number: 11857500
Abstract: A teat for use with a fluid container comprises a deformable mouthpiece for an infant to suck on during a fluid intake action and an inner core disposed within the mouthpiece. An exterior surface of the inner core is spaced from an interior surface of the mouthpiece at the position of a fluid pocket guiding face of the exterior surface of the inner core so that a fluid duct between the mouthpiece and the inner core is defined which allows the infant to perform a peristaltic fluid intake action. At least one of the interior surface of the mouthpiece and the exterior surface of the inner core has at least one protrusion that is designed to form a fluid barrier between the mouthpiece and the inner core at a position for delimiting the fluid duct at the sides thereof.

  • Patent number: 11464570
Abstract: A system and method for planning and performing an interventional procedure based on the spatial relationships between identified points. The system includes a storage device (102) having an image (104) which includes a plurality of targets (107). A spatial determination device (114) is configured to determine distances and/or orientation between each of the targets. The system is configured to compare the distances and generate a warning signal if at least one of the distances is less than a minimum threshold (128). An image generation device (116) is configured to generate a graphical representation for display to the user which shows the spatial information between a selected target with respect to the other targets. A planning device (126) is configured to modify or consolidate targets automatically or based on a user's input in order to more effectively plan or execute an interventional procedure.

  • Patent number: 11241804
Abstract: A shaving unit (16) is disclosed comprising a housing (12), a guard (20) stationary relative to the housing (12), a cutting edge (22) arranged at a distance from the guard (20) and stationary relative to the housing, a hair-entry opening bounded by the guard and the cutting edge, and a drum (24) arranged within the housing, the drum (24) being configured to be driven rotatingly about a longitudinal axis thereof. A plurality of counter cutting edges (28) is arranged on the drum (24), wherein the counter cutting edges (28) cooperate with the cutting edge (22) during rotation of the drum (24) about the longitudinal axis (26) for shearing or cutting hairs when the shaving unit (16) is moved over a skin (30). The shaving unit (16) further comprises a lubricating arrangement (36) with a liquid reservoir (38) filled with a lubricant and with a feed mechanism (41) for supplying the lubricant from the liquid reservoir (38) to at least one of the counter cutting edges (28) for providing a lubricating film (42) thereto.

  • Patent number: 10946218
Abstract: A method for controlling a medical apparatus (100) includes receiving a treatment plan (168) specifying a target volume (146) within an imaging volume (138) and a dose rate of radiation emitted by a radiotherapy apparatus (102). The medical apparatus (100) repeatedly acquires the motion tracking magnetic resonance data and the image magnetic resonance data using an interleaved pulse sequence. The radiotherapy apparatus (102) is controlled to radiate the target volume (146) in accordance with the treatment plan (168). A dose distribution map descriptive of a radiation dose received by the subject (144) from the radiotherapy apparatus (102) is calculated using the motion tracking magnetic resonance data, and the treatment plan (168). A diagnostic image is reconstructed using the image magnetic resonance data. A display displays the diagnostic image and the dose distribution map.

  • Patent number: 10692491
Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining content over the Internet, identifying text within the content (e.g., such as closed captioning or recipe text) or creating text from the content using such technologies as speech recognition, analyzing the text for actionable directions, and translating those actionable directions into instructions suitable for network-connected cooking appliances. Certain embodiments provide additional guidance to avoid or correct mistakes in the cooking process, and allow for the customization of recipes to address, e.g., dietary restrictions, culinary preferences, translation into a foreign language, etc.

  • Patent number: 10520613
Abstract: A medical nuclear imaging system (10) and method (100) generate smooth energy histograms. Radiation events are detected by a plurality of detectors (14), the radiation events localized to a plurality of pixels of the detectors (14). The energy levels of the detected radiation events are estimated and the estimated energy levels are scaled with scaling parameters that scale the energy centroids of the plurality of pixels to target values differing by offsets around a common target value, the target values differing with spatial location of the plurality of pixels. Target value offsets are removed from the scaled energy levels and the detected radiation events are combined into an energy histogram using the energy levels with the target value offsets removed.
