Abstract: Provided is an implant having a controlled generation rate of reactive oxygen species and a method of controlling generation of reactive oxygen species using the same. The implant having a controlled generation rate of reactive oxygen species according to the present invention includes a body formed of a metallic material and having a groove, a first filling metal filling one region of the groove, and a second filling metal filling the groove on the first filling metal, wherein the second filling metal has an ionization tendency different from that of the first filling metal.

Abstract: A non invasive diagnostic method of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in a subject is provided. The method comprises the step of measuring the level of ?ig-h3 protein in a blood sample wherein the serum level of ?ig-h3 is positively correlated with the risk of having a PDAC. By following studies on 2 distinct cohorts of 20 and 104 of PDAC patients, and on PDAC mouse model, the inventors show that ?ig-h3 can be directly detected in the blood sample and ?ig-h3 is expressed very early in tumorigenesis in pancreatic neoplastic lesions. Also provided is a ?ig-h3 protein, for use in the treatment of PDAC. The inventors found that ?ig-h3 bind directly on CD8+ T cells by reducing their activation and cytotoxic properties. Furthermore, the use of neutralizing ?ig-h3 antibodies in PDAC mouse model reduced tumor growth by enhancing CD8+ T cell anti-tumoral response.

Abstract: Provided is a neuromorphic system for synaptic learning in a spiking neural network (SNN)-based neuromorphic array structure. Control blocks including a post-synaptic neuron, which generates a post-neuron spike, are disposed on output lines of a synapse array to implement a spike timing dependent plasticity (STDP) operation such that synaptic learning can be stably implemented in an SNN neuromorphic array. Also, a lateral inhibition circuit may be added. When a post-neuron spike is generated by an STDP control block connected to any one output line, the lateral inhibition circuit inhibits STDP control blocks connected to other output lines from generating spikes. Accordingly, learning selectivity can be improved, and thus the performance of an STDP algorithm can be improved.
