    Abstract: Provided is a single quantification method of an external event PSA model containing multi-compartment scenarios, including: loading an internal event PSA logic model having core damage as a top event; constituting a mapping table comprising external events containing the multi-compartment scenarios in consideration of information regarding external event occurrence frequencies, external event-induced initiators, and equipments damaged by external events; reflecting the mapping table in the internal event PSA logic model to establish an external event PSA model; calculating a final minimum cut set (MCS) based on the external event PSA model; and calculating a core damage frequency (CDF) value according to the final MCS.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a radionuclide-chitosan complex solution and its preparation method, and more particularly to the radionuclide-chitosan complex solution having a viscosity of 300˜2,400 cps, comprising an aqueous chitosan solution or a freeze-dried chitosan labeled with a radionuclide. The radionuclide-chitosan complex solution according to the present invention has a stable gelation state at a target region when injected into the body while maintaining a labeling yield of radioisotope to chitosan above 99%. Side effects may be minimized and treatment efficiency may be increased when injected to a patient.

    Abstract: A grid with coolant deflecting channels for used in nuclear fuel assemblies is disclosed. In the grid, two sets of intersecting grid strips are arranged in sets at right angles to each other prior to being encircled by four perimeter strips, thus forming a plurality of four-walled cells individually placing and supporting an elongated fuel rod therein. Each of the grid strips is made up of two narrow sheets which are deformed at a plurality of regularly spaced portions to provide nozzle-type coolant deflecting channels. The channels individually have an upright Y-shaped or reversed Y-shaped configuration capable of so deflecting coolant as to mix low temperature coolant with high temperature coolant. The channels thus form a uniform temperature distribution within a fuel assembly. The channels are so inclined with respect to the axes of the fuel rods as to form wide and linear positioning springs at middle portions thereof.
