Patent number: 8037964Abstract: When stopping operation of an electric power steering apparatus, a motor relay is kept in an on-state even after a power supply relay is in an off-state. A drive control portion sets a target value of a d-axis current to a value other than zero and sets a target value of a q-axis current to zero, and performs a processing same as that at the time of rotating a motor. MOS-FETs contained in a motor driving circuit are controlled such that each of driving currents of the two phases or more is not zero and the brushless motor does not rotate even supplied with these driving currents. Electric charge accumulated in a capacitor is discharged via the MOS-FETs each in an on-state, a motor relay and the windings of the brushless motor. The electric charge accumulated in the capacitor may be discharged via the excitation coil of the motor relay.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2007Date of Patent: October 18, 2011Assignees: JTEKT Corporation, Koyo Electronics Industries Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shigeki Nagase, Takeshi Ueda, Akira Sugimoto, Kimihito Chino

Patent number: 7032080Abstract: A plural station memory data sharing system in which packets are sent/received between plural stations interconnected through communication lines. Each station has a unique station address value, and the time is made to correspond to each station address value. The internal clock (39) in each station indicates the same time and circulates from time T00 to an upper limit time TM. When the internal clock (39) indicates a time corresponding to the station address value of a station, data stored in a memory at the address position corresponding to the station address value is buried in a packet and the packet is sent through a communication line. An allowance time error sensing circuit (34) compares the calculated correct time of the internal clock of the station and the time indicated by the internal clock, If the error is out of an allowance range, the internal clock (39) is forcedly calibrated to the correct time.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2001Date of Patent: April 18, 2006Assignees: Step Technica Co., Ltd., Koyo Electronics Industries Co. Patent number: 5404456Abstract: A controlled method of operating a programmable controller containing a program storage section including memory means in which a plurality of programs are stored with each program having a master reset flag and corresponding to a stage consisting of one or more control programs for performing control functions when the control programs in each stage are executed. In accordance with the method, a series of programs each corresponding to a stage is read out from the memory means with the control programs of each stage executed when both a master reset flag for a stage, which is reset in initialization, and a stage status corresponding to each of the read out stages meet a predetermined relationship. When executing a control program, a status for a subsequent macro-block is set or reset. The macro-block consists of a plurality of stages. When the status of the macro-block is set, the master reset flag for a stage is subsequently reset at the beginning of the macro-block.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1992Date of Patent: April 4, 1995Assignee: Koyo Electronics Industries Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsunori Kawabe, Katsuji Toyooka
