Patent number: 4358194Abstract: An improved transport for developing film in a photographic film processor, the transport received in a tank having film processing liquids therein. The transport characterized by having a housing with film guide rollers that are mounted on removable bearings so that the individual rollers can be quickly removed from the housing without having to disassemble the housing end plates. Further, the transport is modular in design so that the housing end plates with rollers can be added or subtracted for changing the film process cycle time.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1981Date of Patent: November 9, 1982Assignee: Kreonite Inc.Inventor: V. Dwight Krehbiel

Patent number: 4256001Abstract: An anti-skiving device used for beveling an edge of photographic film so that when the film is processed the emulsion or anti-halation backing on the base of the photographic film will not flake or skive. The device eliminates flaked or skived material from the edge of the film from being processed on the film itself, which heretofore caused an unsightly appearance on the processed film.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 1979Date of Patent: March 17, 1981Assignee: Kreonite IncInventor: Frank J. Russold

Patent number: 4202624Abstract: A masking device for cropping photographs which are viewed on a view screen of a photographic printer. The masking device allowing the operator of the photographic printer to see exactly what portion of a photograph is being cropped prior to the printing of the photograph. The mask further providing a key for signaling the electronic system of the printer how much paper should be advanced for the cropped photograph and correcting the exposure setting of the printer.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1978Date of Patent: May 13, 1980Assignee: Kreonite Inc.Inventor: Vivian D. Krehbiel

Patent number: 4188111Abstract: An additive tri-color lamp house having three lamps for conveying filtered light into a mixing chamber and illuminating a photographic image contained on a photographic film. The illuminated image is then projected onto a photosensitive paper for the purpose of making photographic prints and copies. The lamp house is characterized by having a combination of additive primary color filters and subtractive primary color filters positioned in front of the lamps and the amount of each additive primary color (i.e. red, green and blue) conveyed through the filters is controlled. By the proper positioning of the color filters in front of the lamps, the time required for proper exposure of the three separate emulsion layers on conventional color print paper is approximately equal.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1978Date of Patent: February 12, 1980Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventor: Roger L. Marvin

Patent number: 4188115Abstract: A magnetic film carrier used in conjunction with a light source from a photographic printer. The carrier magnetically securing the film to the top of a printer lamphouse and allowing the film to be moved at various positions on the lamphouse for misaligned film or cropping during the printing of the film.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1978Date of Patent: February 12, 1980Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventor: Roger L. Marvin
-
Patent number: 4166588Abstract: A self-threading take-up magazine for receiving exposed photographic print paper therein. The take-up magazine automatically rolling up the print paper on a magazine core as prints are taken on a photographic printer.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1978Date of Patent: September 4, 1979Assignee: Kreonite Inc.Inventors: Vivian D. Krehbiel, Roger L. Marvin
-
Patent number: 4110774Abstract: An elongated flexible leader for inserting into a film processor and guiding a roll of undeveloped film therethrough. The leader is attached to the film by inserting a tongue which is part of the leader through an aperture in one end of the film.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1976Date of Patent: August 29, 1978Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventors: Vivian D. Krehbiel, Ralph L. Haas

Patent number: 4084796Abstract: A liquid mixing device for mixing liquids in a mixing tank. The device providing means for mixing liquids such as liquid chemicals that are generally difficult to mix and mixing these chemicals together to form a homogeneous solution. The device is adapted for skimming an unmixed liquid on top of the liquid level with a heavier liquid at the bottom of the mixing tank. Also the device will mix an unmixed liquid at various levels in the mixing tank with a heavier liquid at the bottom of the tank.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1976Date of Patent: April 18, 1978Assignee: Kreonite Inc.Inventor: Vivian D. Krehbiel

Patent number: 4045809Abstract: Photographic film developing apparatus comprises a sequence of adjacent, horizontally aligned chambers communicating with each other at their top and bottom portions. Each is adapted to contain a selected film-treating fluid agent. An infeed port communicates with one terminal chamber of the sequence and a dishcarge port with the other.Magnetic carriages mounting releasable film grips are dimensioned to traverse the chambers, trailing the film behind them. The carriages are actuated by a magnetic element mounted for reciprocation adjacent the chambers and associated with a reciprocating drive. Reciprocation of the magnetic element in a vertical plane drives the carriages and the film through one chamber after the other, thereby exposing the film sequentially to the action of the treating agents contained in the respective chambers.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1974Date of Patent: August 30, 1977Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventor: Richard D. Landers

Patent number: 4021832Abstract: A method and a processor having infrared sensed chemical replenishing system for processing photosensitive material. The processor includes a replenishing circuitry having a power supply; a pulsed infrared sensor electrically connected to the power supply for measuring the width of photosensitive materials; a pulse generator circuit for generating a pulse width and repetition rate to the infrared sensor means; and a summing circuit for producing a summation of all latched input elements transmitted from the sensor. The replenishing circuit also includes a replenishment calibration timing circuit for producing a replenishment command signal following a successive time interval equal to the time required for the processor drive to turn one revolution, and a control circuitry for controlling the chemical flow of the replenishment system.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1974Date of Patent: May 3, 1977Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventors: Vivian D. Krehbiel, Carl E. Cord

Patent number: 4005464Abstract: An apparatus and method for developing both black and white and color photographic film using a spirally wound tube. Each convolution of the tube is adapted to contain a selected film treating fluid agent. The film to be photographically processed is attached to a carrier having a magnetic element mounted thereon. The carrier with the trailing film is inserted into the spirally wound tube. A conveyor belt having magnets attached thereto is disposed adjacent the inner circumference of the outer surface of the convolutions of the tube. The film is processed by the carrier being magnetically guided by the magnet on the conveyor belt through the sequence of the different film treating fluid agents in the convolutions of the tube.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1975Date of Patent: January 25, 1977Assignee: Kreonite, Inc.Inventor: Vivian D. Krehbiel
