Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method of protecting a boat motor powerhead or cowl or cowling and preventing damage to the powerhead, cowl or cowling when a boat is docking or backing into a bulk head. More particularly, the present invention relates to a protective device that easily attaches to and slips over the boat motor, allowing for easy positioning of a protective pad on the outside of the motor which protects it from impact and prevents damage to the motor while the boat is docking or backing into a bulk head.
