Patents Assigned to Kucharco Corporation
  • Patent number: 10442574
Abstract: An envelope construct having at least two layers and at least two sheet layers and a tilde matrix core placed there between. The tilde matrix core formed as a slit web material having a straight or curvilinear structure that is substantially longer than it is wide, with specially shaped slits, “tilde-slits”, which permit relatively easy expansion upon deployment. The expandable web material is especially well suited for construction of a light-weight, padded envelope that is durable and can withstand significant pressure during use.

  • Patent number: 9533809
Abstract: A slit web material has a curvilinear structure that is substantially longer than it is wide, with specially shaped slits, “tilde-slits”, which permit relatively easy expansion upon deployment. The cuts are arranged in continuous rows of tilde-slits. In any given row, the tilde-slits follow one-after-the-other in a curvilinear direction. Adjacent rows of slits are parallel to each other, but are offset from one another such that a line drawn between adjacent tilde-slits in adjacent rows is not perpendicular to the direction of the rows. The invention contemplates that the material dispenses from a continuous roll. If the slits are arranged in the longitudinal direction, then the web material expands in the width direction only upon deployment. However, if the slits are arranged such that the row direction is at some angle to the longitudinal direction, then the web material expands in both directions upon deployment.

  • Patent number: 9505574
Abstract: A traction control system expands and deploys compact tightly wound precut paper with die cut slits. The system has an axle with a smaller diameter as compared to the diameter of tube over which a precut paper package is wound, thereby providing friction free rotation. The precut paper roll rests against a spongy device at one end. The other end of the precut paper role rubs against an adjustable cylinder assembly, providing friction that prevents paper spill and misalignment. The precut paper is manually fed to a paper-handling-mechanism having a large diameter central bulge roll contacting a spring-loaded small diameter roll. A flat belt strung between two pulleys contacts the large diameter roll at the bottom to thereby support the paper. Precut paper exiting the paper-handling-mechanism is manually pulled by user in any direction to expand the precut slits and thereby create a three-dimensionally shaped paper web for packaging.

  • Patent number: 9475666
Abstract: An automatic traction control system expands and deploys compact tightly wound precut paper with die cut slits. The system has an axle with a smaller diameter than the diameter of a tube over which a precut paper package is wound, providing friction free rotation. The precut paper roll rests against a spongy device at one end. The other end rubs against an adjustable cylinder assembly, providing friction that prevents paper spill and misalignment. The axle of the paper handling mechanism is set at an angle to the grab direction of an edge of the precut paper, expanding the grabbed edge and the ungrabbed edge. Grabbing is effected by a belt and two rollers applying precise controlled vertical loading obtained by a slidable and rotatable plate having the weight of a motor, gearbox and pulleys. Due to the angle set, the precut paper stretches expanding the precut paper to three dimensional shape.

  • Patent number: 9169097
Abstract: A dispenser expands paper web material by controlling the tracking of off-winding paper and holding it in place. Pulling the paper from one direction expands it in all directions simultaneously. The dispenser has a base, a mast, a cantilevered axle that holds a roll of cut paper web material for off-winding, and a roller assembly that controls the tracking of the off-wind paper web material and holds it in place. Advantageously, upon being pulled in one direction, the paper web material expands in all directions simultaneously in an efficient and reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 8926305
Abstract: A dispensing mechanism that deploys a roll of web material having slit cuts and expands it into a web with a cellular structure. This is accomplished by mounting the roll of unexpanded web material on an axle that is positioned at a first angle to a guide wheel assembly. That first angle is not perpendicular to the direction of deployment. The material moves through the guide wheel assembly longitudinally in such a way that tension is applied at a second angle to the direction of deployment. This diagonal tension causes the web material to expand and form cells. Single axle as well as multi-axle systems are disclosed. In this way, a plurality of rolls of web material may be deployed and expanded as a single unit.

  • Patent number: 8919689
Abstract: A dispenser to deploy and expand cut web material uniformly to form a three dimensional lattice. The unexpanded web material is substantially longer than it is wide. The web material is die cut and has essentially parallel longitudinal strands on opposite transverse sides. The dispenser tracks the threaded web material over three rollers, and uses an adjustable braking mechanism that creates diagonal web tension to pull the paper from the roll. After the web material is threaded through the mechanism, simply pulling the web material on the opposite side from the rollers deploys and expands it simultaneously. The unit can accommodate a plurality of rolls of web material mounted to deploy and expand either individually or simultaneously. The web material itself may have more than one layer. An exemplary embodiment of the dispenser is a motorized version, where a motorized guide wheel assembly pulls the web material, thereby eliminating the necessity of manual deployment.

  • Patent number: 8613993
Abstract: The Present Invention discloses a slit web material, substantially longer than it is wide, with specially shaped slits that permit relatively easy expansion upon deployment. The specially shaped slits are referred to in the Present Application as “tilde-slits,” because they resemble a tilde mark. The cuts are arranged in continuous rows of tilde-slits. In any given row, the tilde-slits follow one-after-the-other in a linear direction.
