Abstract: An antivibration device (1) has a vehicle body-side fixing member (3) adapted to be fixed to a vehicle body. A shaft (6) extends to couple between a pair of sidewalls (11) of the vehicle body-side fixing member (3). An engine-side fixing member (2) is adapted to be fixed to an engine and is provided between the sidewalls (11) to surround around the shaft (6). An elastomer stopper (5) is provided integrally on an inner surface of the engine-side fixing member (2) to define an annular stopper surface (20) that surrounds the shaft (6) while leaving a given gap therebetween. An elastomer mount body (4) couples a base (10) of the vehicle body-side fixing member (3) and the engine-side fixing member (2) together. The antivibration device (1) adequately absorbs a vibrational load applied from the engine in various directions, while ensuring compactness.

  • Patent number: 8025273
Abstract: In a liquid-filled anti-vibration mounting device suitable such as for an engine mount, an accommodation room containing a rubber movable plate is formed inside a partition member partitioning a liquid chamber into a pressure receiving chamber and a balancing chamber. The partition member includes a pair of division walls, one adjoining the pressure receiving chamber and the other adjoining the balancing chamber. Each division wall is formed with a plurality of communication holes. The communication holes are arranged to undulate at least a portion of the movable plate towards the peripheral edge thereof at specified circumferential intervals or greater by the action of the liquid pressure through the communication holes. The movable plate thus deformed, particularly its portion towards the peripheral edge, has a small area to come into contact with the division walls at a time, which effectively disperses and lessens a shock due to contact.

Abstract: A stabilizer bush includes a cylindrical body section including a through-hole into which the stabilizer is inserted. In the body section, a slit is continuously formed from an outer circumferential surface of the body section toward an inner circumferential surface of the through-hole, and is formed so as to extend along a full length of the body section in a center axis direction of the through-hole. A direction of the slit from the outer circumferential surface toward the inner circumferential surface is set to a direction which does not pass through the center of the through-hole, and the slit is formed so as to extend parallel to a center axis of the through-hole.

  • Patent number: 7802777
Abstract: A liquid-filled vibration isolator has a first orifice channel providing communication between a pressure receiving chamber and a balancing chamber. One of the pressure receiving chamber and the balancing chamber is communicated via a second orifice channel with an intermediate liquid chamber. The second orifice channel has a shorter distance or a larger cross-sectional area than the first orifice channel. An elastic film member, such as a membrane, separates the intermediate liquid chamber and the other of the pressure receiving chamber and the balancing chamber from each other. A communicating hole of a predetermined size is formed in the elastic film member. An imaginary orifice channel combined from the two orifice channels provides a high damping effect on input vibration of relatively low frequency. As the vibration frequency increases, a gradual transition is made to the damping characteristic of the second orifice channel only.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing vibration proof rubber by compounding rubber elastic bodies between an inner metal fitting and outer shell metal fitting including the steps of forming a rubber layer by curing adhesion of the rubber elastic bodies to the respective metal fittings, applying a halogen compound solution to the bonding surfaces of the respective rubber layers and then press-fitting the inner metal fitting to the outer shell metal fitting using a lubricant or a lubricating adhesive. The above manufacturing method prevents the defects found in conventional types of vibration proof rubber, particularly disadvantages such as poor durability in a corrosive environment and further the severe requirements which have recently been imposed on vibration proof rubber can sufficiently satisfied.
