  • Patent number: 6592051
Abstract: An inner tank 6 is arranged on a partition plate 2 in a main tank 1, and a spray nozzle 8 is provided in a top wall of the inner tank 6. A mist separator 33 is formed by a helical tube wound around an outer wall of the inner tank 6. An upper port 33a of the mist separator 33 is connected to a connector block 32 provided at an upper portion of the inner tank 6 and a lower port 33b is positioned at a lower portion of a main mist chamber 5. Smaller particles in a primary mist produced by the spray nozzle 8 float in an upper portion of an inner mist chamber 7. Larger particles in the primary mist descend toward a lower portion of the inner mist chamber 7, and these particles adhere onto an inner wall of the inner tank 6 to form a secondary mist consisting of the smaller particles.

  • Patent number: 6164620
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting an operating speed of a pneumatic valve 1 by means of a solenoid valve 2 including a disk-shaped orifice block 5 having a plurality of orifices 22-25 of different aperture sizes formed therein, and the orifice block is arranged rotatably between a sub-base 3 of the solenoid valve 2 and a main block 6. By rotating the orifice block 5, any one of said plurality of orifices formed in the orifice block 5 can be selectively inserted into the fluid passage between the pneumatic valve 1 and the solenoid valve 2. The operating speed of the pneumatic valve 1 can be easily adjusted in a digital manner, and the water hammer phenomenon can be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 5800066
Abstract: A mechanical assembly of shaft and static pressure bearing including a static pressure bearing mechanism formed in a shaft. The bearing mechanism includes an air supply chamber, a plurality of air conduits, a plurality of porous bodies each secured in a respective one of the plurality of air conduits, a glass layer applied on outer surfaces of the porous bodies as well as on an end face of the shaft, a plurality of pockets formed in the glass layer at positions corresponding to the air conduits, and a plurality of orifices formed in each of the plurality of pockets such that a gap formed between the glass layer and a bearing main body is communicated with the air supply chamber by the pockets, orifices and porous bodies. The pockets and orifices can be formed simultaneously by a laser machining. A distribution in pressure within a gap formed between the glass layer and a bearing main body can be uniform.

  • Patent number: 5423643
Abstract: This invention provides a tool clamping/unclamping device which allows a tool to be replaced simply and securely by another one in short time, and which prevents a lock nut from being loosened, from yielding a difference in phase, and from dropping off with respect to a main shaft. The tool clamping/unclamping device comprises a tool urging means for holding a tool holding member in its clamped state, a nut positioning means for adjusting the lock nut in its phase in rotation angle position with respect to the main shaft, a nut drop-off preventing means for regulating the amount of rotation angle of the nut, a nut loosening detection means for detecting the position of the nut in the direction of the main shaft, and/or a locking mechanism for engaging a steel ball urged by a spring with a lock hole to thereby lock the lock nut in the direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5344260
Abstract: A tool holder is detachably secured to the lower end of a main spindle by means of a clamping nut having a female screw cooperating with a male screw of the main spindle such that keys are inserted into corresponding key recesses formed in an upper end face of the tool holder. Within the main spindle, there is arranged a driving shaft movably in an axial direction. Within the tool holder, a piston member is arranged movably in the axial direction. To a lower end of the driving shaft is provided a projection having a circular recess formed in an outer surface thereof. To an upper end portion of the piston member are secured a plurality of steel balls movably in a radial direction. A lower end of the piston member is formed as an inclined surface which is engaged with a cam surface of a tool fitting plate arranged movably in the radial direction.

  • Patent number: 4133545
Abstract: A holder for tightly gripping the shank of an elongate cutting or like tool comprises a shank portion and a base portion with a cylindrical outer surface. The holder has a central bore for receiving the tool shank and transverse screws intersecting the bore for tightening against the tool shank. A ring encircles the cylindrical portion of the base member and under stresses caused by tightening the screws against the tool shank, the ring and base portion deform between conditions in which the ring is rotatable on the base portion and non-rotatable on the base portion. The rotatable or non-rotatable condition of the ring indicates the tightness of the screws.

  • Patent number: 4106390
Abstract: A digitally controllable pneumatic linear actuator in which a moving piston driven by compressed air is initially decelerated by the pressure of compressed air applied to the both sides thereof in the course of its advancing movement toward a predetermined stop position and is then braked by a mechanical brake, thereby obviating failure of precise positioning of the piston due to the compressibility of air. The piston displacement is digitally detected, and the result of detection is fed back to a digital controller.
