Abstract: A reset fixture for a rekeyable lock cylinder includes a housing with a central recess for receiving a cylinder body. A first opening communicating with the central recess is defined in the housing for receiving a reset tool. A second opening communicating with the central recess is defined in the housing for receiving a bracing bar.
Abstract: An electronic lockset that allows for remote monitoring includes a locking mechanism, a motion sensor, a camera, and a wireless communication module. The locking mechanism is moveable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The motion sensor is configured to detect a person in proximity to the electronic locket. The camera is configured to capture media content of the person detected by the motion sensor. The wireless communication module is configured to wirelessly transmit the captured media content to an electronic device.

Abstract: A rekeyable lock cylinder includes a plug body with a keyway opening along a longitudinal axis and a multiple of channels transverse to the axis. A locking bar generally parallel to the longitudinal axis, the locking bar having an extension. A slide movably mounted to an end section of the plug body, the slide having a slot which selectively permits passage of the extension during a rekeying procedure.
Abstract: An electronic lock having one or more lock settings that can be updated using a mobile device. The mobile device includes an app that provides a user interface through which one or more lock settings of the electronic lock can be selected and modified. When the user has made the desired selections to the lock settings on the mobile device, the mobile device wirelessly transmits these settings to the electronic lock. The electronic lock is configured to update its lock settings based on the wireless communication from the mobile device.
Abstract: A manually driven electronic deadbolt assembly configured with an electro mechanical coupling mechanism to selectively couple a manually operable bezel to a torque blade for operation of a deadbolt mechanism. The electro-mechanical coupling mechanism is configured such that in a locked condition the manually operable bezel is drivably decoupled from the torque blade, such that the manually operable bezel is free-spinning when rotated so as to be rendered incapable of rotating the torque blade to operate the deadbolt mechanism. Also, the electro-mechanical coupling mechanism is configured to drivably couple the manually operable bezel to the torque blade when a valid code is input to a code input mechanism to facilitate the unlocked condition, such that a rotation of the manually operable bezel effects a rotation of the torque blade to operate the deadbolt mechanism.
Abstract: A kit for a master keying system includes a plurality of replacement master racks. A rack removal key is provided for insertion into a keyway. The rack removal key has a first cut defining a first lift amount. A rack removal tool is provided for insertion into the keyway. The rack removal tool has a second cut defining a second lift amount, wherein the second lift amount is greater than the first lift amount.
Abstract: An automated inspection system for inspecting, sorting and re-coining each of the locking bar, the rack, and the pin of a rekeyable lock cylinder, as well as other small close-tolerance components in an average cycle time of 1.5 seconds. The inspection system includes a high-speed pneumatic sorting matrix which selectively transfers the components into various length measuring stations, camera inspection stations, mechanical gauge stations, and/or coining stations, and then positions the parts at those stations for combined gauge and visual tolerance checking and sorting. Defects are identified by a combination of visual and machine-gauge inspection, and the sorted components are sorted into three bins: rejects; good parts; and parts for coining. The inspection/sorting system is capable of tolerance-checking down to 0.00011811?, with a repeatability of 0.00005906.
Abstract: A turn-button for a lockset includes a head portion and a shaft extending from the head portion. The shaft has a leading helical end portion.

Abstract: A door latch assembly (10) includes a latch bolt mechanism (60) having a bolt (62) movable between a door latching position and a door unlatching position. Assembly (10) further includes handle lever (16) and (36) at opposite ends of a square spindle 64. An adapter 68 is attached to spindle 64 and engages cam surfaces 158 and 160 of a slide 142 within mechanism (60) to facilitate movement of bolt 62 when either of the levers (16) or (36) are operated.A locking plate 44 is attached to spindle 64 for movement therewith and is formed with a peripheral notch 138. A locking dog 48 is selectively positionable within notch 138 to prevent rotation of spindle 64 and movement of bolt 62 when an attempt is made to operate either of the levers 16 or 36.A stop plate 230 is also mounted on spindle 64 for rotation therewith and is positioned to engage fixed stems 28 to preclude attempted movement of either of the levers 16 or 36 in an upward direction but permits downward movement thereof to facilitate movement of bolt 62.
Abstract: A latch assembly for a lock adaptable for use with inswinging, outswinging, right hand and left hand mounted doors includes a latchcase assembly having a vertically extending slot. A bolt is mounted for sliding movement within the latchcase. A first rotatable cam having a hub is mounted within the vertical slot of said latchcase assembly for sliding the bolt between bolt engaged and disengaged positions. The height of the latchcase slot is larger then the diameter of the hub portion of the cam to accommodate limited vertical movement of the cam within the slot. The vertical position of the cam is shifted within the vertical slot to maintain the horizontal center line of the cam in a predetermined spaced vertical position relative to the horizontal center line of the bolt.
