    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for automatically monitoring the performance of industrial equipment during its operation. During this monitoring, various operating parameters of the equipment are measured, a performance factor representative of the equipments operation is calculated, and information is indicated to a user as a function of the performance factor. Automatic calibration of the performance factor calculation may be performed at the request of a user.
