Patents Assigned to Lab Partners Associates, Inc.
  • Publication number: 20070058959
Abstract: A system and method for removable connection of an antenna element to a first PC connector of a camera body having wireless communication capability therein. An electrical event may be produced when the antenna element is connected to the firs PC connector, the electrical event providing an indication to the wireless communication capability of the presence of the antenna element.

  • Patent number: 7133607
Abstract: A system and method of alerting a wireless communication capability of a camera body to the presence of an external antenna element present in electrical communication with a pre-existing port of the camera body that was originally not designed for an external antenna. The wireless communication capability may be activated and/or deactivated by an electrical event produced when a connector of the external antenna is connected to the pre-existing port.

  • Patent number: 7016603
Abstract: A microcontroller radio card (2) for insertion into a first device, e.g., a camera (10) to allow for remote operation of a second device, e.g., a flashpack (22), utilizing the existing controls of the first device. The card includes a base (34) populated with various microelectronic devices for transmitting and or receiving RF or other signals used in the control and operation of the second device. A central processing unit (CPU) (41) translates signals received from the first device and controls the generation of corresponding signals to be transmitted to the second device in response to the signals received from the first device. Signals are transmitted to the second device via a transceiver chip (43).

  • Patent number: 5359375
Abstract: A radio transmitter and radio receivers are each connected to microprocessors with non-volatile memories. Binary encoded sequenced pulses are transmitted from the transmitter to program the receivers remotely. A variety of precisely coded signals can be transmitted including a unique transmitter number, a receiver number, data for the receiver, commands for the receiver, and an error detection command. Heterodyne receiver systems with local oscillators, level detectors and noise controllers mix a transmitted 344.035 MHZ signal with a local 333.335 MHZ signal to generate an intermediate frequency of 10.7 MHZ to which the filters are tuned. Over 100 dB of gain is available in the receiver amplifiers making it very sensitive. Single activation, multiple activation, sequencing, and delays are all programmable with a number of receivers.
