Patents Assigned to Laboratoire Perouse Implant
  • Patent number: 6589277
Abstract: A flanged prosthesis (10) comprises a tubular body (18) equipped at one end with an external flange (19) designed for the anastomosis of the prosthesis to a tubular duct equipped with an opening. The flange (19) is made of a textile material and comprises at least one seam (324, 360, 362) shaping it at the end of the tubular body (18).

  • Patent number: 6387133
Abstract: A reconstruction implant (10) of predetermined shape has a deformable outer envelope (12) containing a filler liquid (15) whose viscosity is substantially equal to that of water. The thickness of the envelope (12) is sufficient to confer on the envelope a shape substantially identical to the predetermined shape in the absence of the filler liquid. The pressure of the filler liquid contained in the envelope (12) is substantially equal to the pressure outside the envelope. The implant can be used as a testicle prosthesis.

  • Patent number: 6187020
Abstract: The invention concerns a connecting device for anastomosis of a vascular prosthesis to a tubular conduit in which a lateral or terminal opening has been formed, the prosthesis including, at a connecting end, a turned-back portion forming an annular layer whose free edge is adapted to be pressed onto the immediate vicinity of the rim of the tubular conduit. The connecting device includes a set of fasteners each of which is adapted to press the annular layer onto the rim of the opening. It further includes an annular support along which the fasteners are distributed. The fitting device includes a connecting device and a releasable holding mechanism for holding the fasteners in the open position. The implant comprises a vascular prosthesis and a fitting device.

  • Patent number: 6019787
Abstract: An endoprosthesis includes an extensible tubular mesh embedded in a plastic or elastomer extensible film. A tool for positioning the endoprosthesis includes a tube-shaped guide provided at its distal end with a tulip-shaped housing. Cutting threads cause the housing to open longitudinally into several petal-like parts. Application is to endoluminal treatment of aneurisms and dilations.

  • Patent number: 5800506
Abstract: A device for treating a blood vessel comprises an outer sheath (10) containing, on the one hand, an endoprosthesis (1) whose distal end is equipped with a cord (4), and, on the other hand, a support (9). The distal end of the endoprosthesis (1) is connected to the support (9) in a separable manner by way of the cord (4). The device is used for the treatment of arterial atheroma.

  • Patent number: 5792156
Abstract: An instrument for vascular surgery includes a deformable cylindrical sleeve whose proximal end is integral with a distal end of a sheath and whose distal end is integral with a distal and of a catheter contained in the sheath. The sleeve can pass from a contracted state to a dilated state, and vice versa, by exerting a reciprocating movement on the catheter in relation to the sheath. The sleeve is made up of a latticework embedded in an envelope. This instrument can be used for the dilation or temporary occlusion of a blood vessel, or for performing an embolectomy.

  • Patent number: 5346115
Abstract: A surgical staple inserter for joining two ducts such as a blood vessel and a blood prosthesis. The staple inserter ejects staples in a radial direction relative to the axis of the ducts. In one embodiment, it includes a staple holder surrounded by the prosthesis and containing a series of staples arranged in at least one ring. All the staples are ejected simultaneously. The staple inserter also includes an anvil outside the organic duct, and a device for spacing apart the anvil and the staple holder in relation to their relative working positions. Projections hold the prosthesis in place during the insertion of the staple holder into the ducts.
