    Abstract: The present invention relates to a topical antimicrobial composition, comprising microcapsules containing an antimicrobial agent, wherein the wall of the said microcapsules is formed of collagen and glycosaminoglycan cross-linked by means of a cross-linking agent. The antimicrobial composition of the invention may be used in body deodorants and in topical disinfectants.
