  • Patent number: 8215108
Abstract: A Control apparatus for a piston/cylinder arrangement, having a valve arrangement connected to a first part space, which assumes a closed position preventing a fluid held in the first part space from flowing out if the pressure in the fluid is smaller than a pressure control value set on the valve arrangement and which assumes an opening position if the pressure in the fluid is greater than the set pressure control value, and having a priming device which is coupled to the valve arrangement and the first part space serving to prepare for the damping of a pressure increase in the fluid which is brought about by a movement of the piston caused by a load acting on the piston in the direction of the first part space such that a pressure increase can be generated in the fluid to a predefined pressure priming value independently of the load.

Abstract: Control apparatus for a piston/cylinder arrangement, wherein the piston/cylinder arrangement has a cylinder and a piston which is accommodated at least partially in the cylinder and divides the cylinder interior along the cylinder axis into two part spaces, having a valve arrangement which is connected to a first part space and assumes a closed position which prevents a fluid which is held in the first part space from flowing out of this part space if the pressure in the fluid is smaller than a pressure control value which is set on the valve arrangement, and which opens into an opening position which makes this outflow possible if the pressure in the fluid is correspondingly greater than the pressure control value which has been set, having a priming device which is coupled to the valve arrangement and the first part space, serves to prepare for the damping of a pressure increase in the fluid which is brought about by a movement of the piston which is caused by a load which acts on the piston in the directio

  • Patent number: 7481161
Abstract: A plunger-cylinder assembly for a press including a plunger which is accommodated at least in part in a cylinder while separating the interior of the cylinder into two partial chambers along the cylinder axis. A relieving device which counteracts an increase in pressure of a fluid accommodated in the first partial chamber is disposed in at least one first partial chamber the increase in pressure being caused by a movement of the plunger along the cylinder axis in the direction of the first partial chamber. A hydraulic press encompassing such a plunger-cylinder assembly is also described.

Abstract: In a method for producing molding elements having a predetermined thickness profile, in which a filling tool of a filling device is filled with a molding material and the molding material is released in the direction of gravity from the filling tool into a pressing mold of a press, the molding material is held in the filling tool by means of suction, and its release into the pressing mold is effected by a reduction, particularly a deactivation, of the suction force.

  • Patent number: 6973780
Abstract: The invention relates to a controller for a hydraulic press, comprising a pressing cylinder (1), a reservoir (2), a valve group (3), a pressure medium reservoir (7) and a hydraulic pump (6), connected together by means of a cylinder line (4), a reservoir line (5) and a tank line (8). According to the invention, a pressure converter (9) is arranged on the valve group (3), which may operate as a pressure amplifier or pressure reducer. The particular mode of action of said controller is achieved whereby the valve group (3) comprises a pre-press valve (11), a low-pressure chamber outlet valve (12), a low-pressure chamber inlet valve (13), a main press valve (14), a closing valve (15), a pressure release valve (16) and a 3-way valve (17), which may be operated by a particular control sequence. Said invention is applicable in hydraulic presses and of particular advantage in presses for the forming of ceramic pieces such as tiles.

  • Patent number: 5129809
Abstract: The invention relates to a press for ceramic formed parts, in particular tiles, whereby there is disposed within an upper beam of the press an oil storage container in the form of a storage volume chamber integrally incorporated in the upper beam. A filling valve is provided between the storage volume chamber and the main press cylinder which is also integrally incorporated in the upper beam. The main press cylinder is formed as a main press chamber and has the filling valve which is mounted on the chamber wall by way of holding flange. A press of the aforedescribed construction is downtime-friendly and maintenance-friendly and has a rapid cycling time and a high output. Moreover, it manufactures a good quality of pressed parts.
