Patent number: 8584393Abstract: An accessory bracket 100 comprising first element 200 and second element 300 along with means for attaching first element with a firearm mount 10 and second element. The second element provides a semi-cylindrical accessory bar 320 with a length to safely extend the accessories such that the accessories do not interfere with operator vision or full movement or deflection of firearms. When attaching the second element with the first element, the accessory bracket provides an upper and lower position for adjusting the height of the second element in relation to the first element, the firearm mount, and the firearm 20. Safe, interchangeability for multiple firearms and accessories are provided as well as access areas and apertures for attaching the first and second elements, changing a barrel, wiring and connectors for accessories, as well as for firearm cooling and dispersal of gas and debris from the firearm rounds of ammunitions.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2011Date of Patent: November 19, 2013Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Warren McCrimmon, Jr., Mark Edward Hagedorn, Joseph LaDon Bebee

Patent number: 8393105Abstract: A floating side rail clamp weapon accessory mount adaptor includes a stationary side rail clamp, a floating side rail clamp, and a leaf spring system that replaces prior art biasing plates. The floating side rail clamp moves as a single unit under evenly increasing influence provided by the leaf spring system coupled to the floating side rail clamp. The floating side rail clamp moves as a single unit such that a floating side rail clamp engagement surface of the floating side rail clamp remains substantially parallel to corresponding portion of a stationary side rail clamp engagement surface of the stationary side rail clamp as the floating side rail clamp moves, as a unit, towards the stationary side rail clamp in a direction substantially perpendicular to the stationary side rail clamp engagement surface.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2010Date of Patent: March 12, 2013Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventor: Heinz Thummel

Patent number: 7726061Abstract: A dual beam laser aiming module for a firearm has a dual-laser alignment housing with a first IR laser assembly in a first cavity and that provides a first beam axis. A second visible laser assembly is adjustably located in a second cavity to provide a second beam having an axis parallel to the first beam axis. A housing for the dual-laser alignment housing is adapted to be fixed to the firearm. The dual-laser alignment housing has a rounded exterior surface that interfaces with a corresponding rounded surface in the interior of the cavity of the laser housing. The dual-laser alignment housing is adjustably pivoted with respect to the laser housing with a four-point laser alignment mechanism to align the parallel first and second axes further in parallel to a centerline of a barrel of the firearm.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2004Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventor: Heinz F. Thummel

Patent number: 6295753Abstract: A laser precision bore sight assembly and method aligns a laser beam along the longitudinal axis of a gun barrel. At the proximate end of an elongated bore shaft is rotatably mounted a compressible barrel insert with a continuous outer surface which resiliently engages the inside wall of the gun barrel to coaxially align the longitudinal axis of the proximate end of the shaft with the longitudinal axis of the gun barrel. The exterior surface of an alignment cone is provided on the distal end of the bore shaft. A battery/switch housing, containing a switch assembly, cooperates with a laser housing assembly to provide an enclosure for a battery. A laser source in the laser housing assembly provides a laser beam in a direction coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the shaft. Matching threads provide for relative longitudinal movement such that a terminal of the battery engages the switch assembly to activate the laser source.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2000Date of Patent: October 2, 2001Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventor: Heinz F. Patent number: 5758448Abstract: A mounting system attaches directly to a square or round trigger guard of a firearm. A separate trigger guard mount assembly includes a base having a groove formed therein for receiving a forward portion of a trigger guard of the firearm. A trigger guard mount clamp for attaches the trigger guard mount base to the forward portion of a trigger guard. A screw-operated clamp removably attaches a light housing assembly to the trigger guard mount assembly where the light housing contains a laser light source or a light bulb. A dovetail is formed on the trigger guard mount base to engage a dovetailed slot on the light housing, where the dovetailed slot is adjustable in width for releasably capturing the dovetail of the trigger guard mount base. The trigger guard mount assembly also includes set screws for fixing the trigger guard mount assembly in position on the forward portion of the trigger guard of the firearm. One or more shims are contained within the groove of the trigger guard mounting assembly.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 1997Date of Patent: June 2, 1998Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventor: Heinz F. Patent number: 5581898Abstract: A compact and rugged sighting laser adapted to be mounted on the trigger guard of a firearm such as a handgun. The sighting laser includes a mounting block having a slot adapted to engage the trigger guard, and a housing configured to engage the mounting block. The mounting block includes a hardened retention pin disposed at one end of the block adjacent the slot, and the housing includes a rearward extending plate with a groove configured to receive this pin. The housing further defines first and second bores generally parallel to one another and oriented toward a forward end of the housing. A laser module is disposed in an ellipsoidally shaped casing that fits within the first housing bore, while a battery for the laser fits within the second bore. Threaded screws disposed at a forward end of the housing at right angles to one another press against one end of the ellipsoidal casing in order to provide orientation of the laser with respect to a target point of the firearm.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1993Date of Patent: December 10, 1996Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventor: Heinz Thummel

Patent number: 5299375Abstract: An adjustable platform in two orthogonal directions for the angular alignment of the axis of a solid state laser diode. The platform carries the laser diode at its center and is attached to a base plate at three points. Two attachment points are adjustable and provide for fine angular adjustments by changing the separation of the base plate and platform. The third attachment point provides for a fixed separation between base plate and platform and also preloads the tension on the adjustable attachments. The geometric relationship of the attachment points provides for the orthogonality and independence of the angular adjustments.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1993Date of Patent: April 5, 1994Assignee: Laser Devices, Inc.Inventors: Heinz H.
