Abstract: A crowd control stanchion has a base and a post configured to be joined to the base. An insert is used to selectively couple the base and the post in a secure manner, the insert being secured to the base and disposed within the post. The insert has an upper portion that is selectively moveable relative to a lower portion. When the portions are manipulated, they apply radial pressure on the inside wall of the post. Such radial pressure increases the static friction between the insert and the post, thus reducing the probability that the post will move either vertically or rotationally relative to the base.

Abstract: A novel system for dispensing tickets wherein a continuous strip is individuated into separate units by the force of users pulling each individual luggage tag through an aperture located at one end of a dispensing mechanism having a detent mechanism for shearing pre-scored and pre-arranged tickets that is used in combination with an interference and/or ramped spacing mechanism. The same may be mounted in a stanchion, on any existing environmental structure, or in a counter, and may include rectangular, rolled and alternatively shaped housing. Particularly useful for luggage tagging applications, a self-engaging ticket-like article may be used with existing guidance systems and an optional writing surface to allow users to procure and apply identifying indicia to such articles for marking luggage on an expedited basis while traveling.

Abstract: A frame structure that displays media includes a support member, a frame housing and at least one interchangeable cartridge insert. The frame housing is supported by the support member and has at least one display opening for displaying the media. The frame housing also has at least one generic guide on the interior of the frame housing. The at least one interchangeable cartridge insert is adapted to fit in and be supported by the at least one generic guide of the frame housing of the frame structure. The interchangeable cartridge insert includes at least one rail member and a media support panel. The at least one rail member has rails that are adapted to engage with the at least one generic guide of the frame structure. The at least one rail member also has media supports for supporting the media support panel.

Abstract: An adjustable stair rail system suitable for use by a homeowner in which various adjustments in positioning the rail can easily be made on site. The system includes a plurality of balusters and adjustable baluster connectors. The height of the balusters can be adjusted, which balusters engage the outer surface of the rail so as to enable angular movement of the rail with respect to the balusters in an adjustable fashion. The invention further includes an adjustable tee connection to secure the rail to one or more vertical support posts.
