Abstract: The AC output from a source is rectified and applied to a resistor/Zener diode circuit connection which determines the magnitude of the rectified voltage applied via a circuit to a first MOSFET device. The inverted output of the first MOSFET device is applied to the gate electrode of a second MOSFET device in a manner such that the second MOSFET device is ON even when the AC output passes through zero. The output of the second MOSFET device is connected to a resistor which determines the magnitude of the load applied to the dimmer.
Abstract: An improved LED light bulb for use in a brake light bulb socket of an automobile or similar vehicle wherein selected numbers of LED are energized at full intensity depending upon whether the automobile is in the brake light mode or the tail light mode. The light emitting diode lamp includes first and second printed circuit boards having first and second pluralities of light emitting diodes mounted thereupon for emitting monochromatic light in response to power signals supplied from the automobile. All LED's are on full intensity in the brake light mode and less than the full number of LED's on the first and second printed circuit boards are on at full intensity for the tail light mode.
Abstract: An LED lamp has a substantially planar circuit board having two opposed sides, and a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) grouped to form two LED arrays. The LEDs of one of the two LED arrays are mounted along opposite edges of one of the sides of the circuit board. The LEDs of the other LED array are mounted along opposite edges of the other side of the circuit board.
Abstract: A light source in the form of a light emitting diode (LED) cluster module suitable for use as an aircraft forward position light source. The light source comprises multiple LED components mounted on a base structure together with supporting electronic components to regulate the function of the LED components. The LED components are configured on the base structure in a manner so as to be capable of complying with the Federal Aviation Regulations minimum light intensities or candela requirements and color specifications while in a preferred implementation using a traditional aircraft 28-volt power supply. Furthermore, the preferred implementations are capable of meeting stringent dimensional design criteria and therefore are suitably adaptable as replacement light sources for existing aircraft forward position light housings.
Abstract: A light source particularly suited for a display in a dispensing machine. The light source includes an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) with a multi-directional, multi-functional reflector disposed about the PCB. The reflector reflects the LED light in multi-directions and serves to provide a more uniform light intensity throughout the illuminated surface. The reflector also encloses the total light radiation to a predefined surface area.
