    Abstract: The invention relates to scales for weighing piglets, including a base frame; at least one weighing element arranged on the base frame; and a weigh platform arranged on the at least one weighing element, wherein the weighing platform is elongate, wherein the top surface of the weighing platform is arranged at a distance above the base and wherein the width of the elongate top surface is at least half of the width of the base in order to provide space for the legs of a piglet when supported on the belly by the elongate top surface.
