Abstract: A self-latching flush bolt for use in the inactive door of a pair of swinging doors, the bolt being on a slide rod which is spring actuated to throw the bolt into engagement with the strike when the trigger is contacted by the active door. A dead-locking lever holds the bolt locked as long as the trigger is depressed; when the active door is opened the bolt may be manually retracted and will be held in retracted position until the trigger is activated. A roller on the bottom bolt rolls on the floor in case the bolt is thrown with the door in an open position.
Abstract: Connectors and end caps are provided to connect adjacent roof ridge ventilator sections and to close the ends of the assembly. The connectors include a cutout, intermediate wall, an outer jacket and inner sleeve defining slots to receive the ends of adjacent ventilator sections. The end caps include a deflectable wall having a central depression and bulge. An outer end cap jacket and inner end cap sleeve define a channel to receive the end of the ventilator assembly.
Abstract: A surface bolt adapted to be mounted on an inner or outer surface of a closure member, such as a door or window, the bolt being slidable in guides between positions into and out of engagement with a keeper, the bolt having a recess extending across its outer surface, positioned and dimensioned to be engaged by one of the guides in the locking position of the bolt and to be resiliently and releasably held in such engaged position by a spring housed in the guide.
Abstract: An improved roof ridge ventilator is provided having a peaked hood, descending sidewalls, horizontally extending panels and a dam arrangement defined by a vertically extending, reversed bent inner sidewall. Flashing sections are integral with the inner sidewalls. A plurality of rows of vent passages are formed in the panels. Each row of these passages is hooded by oppositely disposed, alternating offset straps. Vent passages are provided along the outer edge of the panels and are partially covered by downwardly and inwardly inclined baffles.
Abstract: An automatic surface bolt for doors swinging in pairs having a stop to hold the active door open until the inactive door is closed and a top bolt which is actuated by movement of the stop to lock the inactive door as the active door completes its closing movement, the inactive door having also a bottom bolt arranged to be actuated by the top bolt so that the door is bolted top and bottom when both doors are closed; both bolts holding the inactive door are automatically released when the active door is opened.
Abstract: A door coordinator for pairs of swinging doors comprising a pair of arms on a common hub pivotally mounted in a bracket on the door frame, a longer arm adapted to move vertically into and out of the path of an active door and a shorter arm provided with a cam surface supplemented or constituted by a roller so located that the inactive door engages the cam surface and/or the roller for controlling the vertical movement of the shorter arm relative to the inactive door and the simultaneous vertical movement of the longer arm into and out of the path of the active door.
