  • Patent number: 11650899
Abstract: A method includes identifying maximum and minimum values in an input data set after a request to display data from the data set, which is remote and includes many entries with a first and a second value. First values are ordered sequentially and maximum and minimum values are second values. The method subtracts the minimum value from the maximum value to find a height, determines a target data amount for downloading to display to satisfy interface quality experience criteria, and calculates a difference level for a compression algorithm. The compression algorithm uses the difference level to select input data set entries for a compressed data set and is based on the input data set, the target data amount and the height. The method includes processing the input data set with the compression algorithm and the difference level to create the compressed data set, and transmitting the compressed data set.

  • Patent number: 11652715
Abstract: A method for detecting network mis-cabling includes receiving, from a discovery process, an original remote device identifier (“ID”) and remote port ID of a port of a remote device connected to a port of a local device and storing the original remote device ID and remote port ID together with a local device ID and a local port ID of the port of the local device. The method includes receiving, from the discovery process, a new remote device ID and remote port ID for a remote device connected to the port of the local device, and comparing the original remote device ID and port ID with the new remote device ID and remote port ID. The method includes, in response to the original remote device ID and the original remote port ID not matching the new remote device ID and the new remote port ID, sending a mismatch alarm.

  • Patent number: 11570140
Abstract: An apparatus for correcting MAC addresses includes a device port for connecting to a computing device with a colliding MAC address with potential to collide with MAC addresses of other computing devices within a computer network. The apparatus includes a network port for connecting to a network device connected to other computing devices. A reassignment module is configured to assign a non-colliding MAC address in place of the colliding MAC address of the computing device and a replacement module is configured to replace the colliding MAC address of a datagram received on the device port with the non-colliding MAC address and transmit the datagram with the non-colliding MAC address from the network port to the network device, and to replace the non-colliding MAC address of a datagram received on the network port with the colliding MAC address and transmit the datagram with the colliding MAC address to the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11516082
Abstract: A method includes various operations and a computer program product may cause a processor to perform various operations. The operations include obtaining, for each of a plurality of baseboard management controllers (BMCs) that have been configured to form a baseboard management controller (BMC) group, an amount of load placed on the BMC, wherein a first BMC in the BMC group has been configured to operate as a BMC group leader for the BMC group. The operations further include, in response to a second BMC in the BMC group having less load than any other BMC in the BMC group, configuring the second BMC to operate as the BMC group leader and unconfiguring the first BMC to no longer operate as the BMC group leader. Still further, the operations include causing the second BMC to perform a BMC group operation operating as the BMC group leader.

  • Patent number: 11502673
Abstract: Devices and methods for determining and indicating a source of power based on a characteristic of received power are disclosed. According to an aspect, a device includes a power line interface configured to receive power from multiple power lines. The device also includes a comparator module configured to compare one or more characteristics of the received power from the plurality of power lines. The comparator module is also configured to determine whether the received power on the power lines are from the same source based on the comparison. Further, the device includes a user interface configured to indicate whether the received power on the power lines are from the same source based on the determination.
