Abstract: A solar coach light configured to be mounted to a wall comprises a bracket to be mounted to the wall and a light fixture. The bracket comprises a mounting plate and an arm extending therefrom. The light fixture comprises a plurality of top faces and a bottom face defining together an enclosure; a solar panel mounted to one of the top faces; a battery cell housed by the enclosure; a socket mounted to the bottom face to plug a light bulb therein; and a removable shade assembly mounted to the bottom face comprising a plurality of removable shades. The removable shade assembly defines a space surrounding the bottom face providing protection from the environment. The solar coach light comprises a hanging assembly connecting the light fixture to the arm distant from the mounting plate.

Abstract: A weather-resistant socket assembly is adapted to be used with a string light. The weather-resistant socket assembly for a string light, comprises an electrically powered housing having an opening, a chamber extending from the opening, and a ridged wall covering a portion of an internal periphery of the electrically powered housing; and a socket comprising electrical connections adapted to power the socket and a cooperating ridged wall covering a portion of an external periphery of the socket. When the socket is inserted in the chamber of the electrically powered housing, the ridged wall and the cooperating ridged wall come into contact and the contact prevents a rotation of the socket relative to the electrically powered housing. Further described is a solar string light that comprises the weather-resistant socket assembly.

Abstract: A mounting adaptor for an electric light fixture to be mounted on a surface. The mounting adaptor comprising: a base and a joining member each having an interfacing face and an electrical interface, one of the base and the joining member comprising on its interfacing face a groove, the other one of the base and the joining member comprising on its interfacing face a lip adapted to cooperate with the groove thereby providing a capability to assemble releasably the joining member with the base; a locking mechanism adapted to lock the base and the joining member in a mounted position relatively to each other; the base comprising a mounting element adapted to mount the base to the surface; and the joining member comprising a joint element adapted to mount the electric light fixture to the joining member.
