Patents Assigned to Linear Lighting Corp.
  • Publication number: 20140092596
Abstract: A light source is provided including a heat sink and a printed circuit board (PCB) with a driver and lamps disposed in the central cavity of the heat sink. Each lamp is a semi-spherical solid state lamp, and multiple optical structures in operable registration with lamps. The PCB may further have two heat conducting strips proximate opposing edges of the PCB. The optical structures emit substantially shadowless, substantially homogeneous, and substantially monochromatic light. The optical structure includes an optical element for each lamp that substantially collimates the lamp's light and an optical element receiving a portion of the substantially collimated beam and provides multiple optical images of the collimated beam with a focal point that is practically infinite.

  • Patent number: 6945668
Abstract: A multidirectional interior illumination lighting assembly is configured for mounting beneath a ceiling. The assembly includes a generally transparent planar acrylic panel and a hollow stringer which retains a panel edge and supports the panel in a horizontal position. The stringer carries a linear illumination source in registration with the panel edge. Additional stringers may be employed if additional edges of the panel are to be illuminated. To increase the direct and indirect illumination emanating from the panel, arrays of dots may be provided on the upper and lower faces of the panel.

  • Patent number: 6517222
Abstract: A cable suspension system for linear lighting fixtures simplifies installation procedures by providing a simple leveling adjustment compensation for weight imbalance about a longitudinal axis of the lighting fixture. A suspension cable is fixed in a bore of a cable fitting, with the cable fitting being mounted to a bracket which pivots relative to the fixture. The pivot axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fixture. The angle of the bracket is adjusted relative to the fixture is adjusted such that the fixture as a whole hangs horizontally level.

  • Patent number: 5848833
Abstract: A bidirectional lighting system includes a housing having a planar base and a stringer connected to end plates by a chassis. The chassis carries a bracket for light sockets and asymmetric reflectors. The edges of the base, the end plates and the stringer define a pair of windows. One light source and an associated asymmetric provide up light illumination through one of the windows and the other light source and its associated reflector provides wall wash illumination of an adjacent wall through the other window.

  • Patent number: 5658066
Abstract: Individual fixture sections of a continuous row lighting assembly are joined together with end panels of adjacent sections abutting one another. The abutting end panels include registered apertures which carry an L-shaped fastener. Each fastener includes a first leg which engages the inner face of one end panel and a second leg having a threaded aperture which carries a screw. The screw is tightened to bear against the inner face of the other end panel to secure the fixture sections together in a continuous row.

  • Patent number: 4564888
Abstract: A "wall-wash" lighting fixture is mounted on the ceiling along the top of a wall to be provided with a substantially uniform illumination downwardly from the fixture. An elongated fluorescent bulb is used as the source of light; and the reflector is comprised of at least a central section and two shorter end sections. The cross-section of the central section of the reflector differs from the cross-section of the end sections in a manner to cause greater amounts of light to be reflected a greater distance downwardly on the wall from the center section than from the end sections. This compensates for the non-uniform light intensity from the fluorescent bulb, and results in a more uniform illumination of the wall below the fixture.
