Abstract: A panel having means for interconnecting it to other like panels, said interconnecting means comprising hook and ring connector members which are longitudinally shiftable relative to the length of the panel and are substantially flat.
Abstract: A wood-type front lighted display case is disclosed which can be assembled on-site using preinstalled cam lock fasteners. An extrusion and trim strip therefor hold the front and top glass panels in place, and are configured for easy glass replacement in the event of breakage. The extrusion also functions as a mounting for the light fixture, having an integral wireway.
Abstract: A low profile reed keyswitch which includes a magnetically actuated reed switch. The reed switch is mounted parallel to the keyswitch base on a retaining fixture which resistively holds the body of the reed switch. The leads of the reed switch freely pass through the base where they are available for direct connection to an external circuit. A permanent magnet is carried in a plunger which is spring biased away from the reed switch. The reed switch is actuated when an operator depresses the plunger to move the magnet toward the reed switch.
Abstract: A calculator having a keyboard alterable by interchanging various keyboard modules is provided by an arrangement wherein a module is insertable into a floating connector which adjusts the space allowed for the module to the size of the module and which provides reliable electrical connection to a main keyboard. Each module is insertable and removable with one hand by providing a resilient camming member attached to the calculator, which mechanically interacts with a locking and releasing member which is connected to the module and is accessible when the calculator is resting on a desk.
Abstract: An electronic calculator utilizing a programmable read-only memory (PROM) cartridge for control of a number of the calculator functions is provided with a bezel which is snap-fit into a keyed opening in the calculator housing and guides a connector on the cartridge into simple and reliable electrical connection with a connector in the calculator. The bezel, which is simply and inexpensively constructed of plastic, has at least one bevelled outer surface to insure proper orientation of the bezel in the keyed opening and has at least one bevelled inner surface which cooperates with a corresponding bevelled outer surface on the cartridge to prevent improper orientation on the cartridge during insertion thereof into the bezel. The cartridge cover is also simply and inexpensively constructed of plastic, has self-aligning parts, and may be assembled by using a single screw.
Abstract: A heat and pressure consolidated laminate in which the back most sheet has fused thereto a surface film composition of polyvinyl alcohol, animal glue or starch which serves as a glue line to which conventional glues adhere, the film being adhered to the back most sheet during heat and pressure consolidation of the laminate by transferring the same from a release layer to the back most surface of the laminate and fusing the transferred film to the thermosetting resin impregnated in the back sheet.
