Patents Assigned to Lobster Tool Co., Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5219375
Abstract: The riveter of the invention comprises a shaft, a rolling nut, a jaw mechanism, a head frame, a rotary drive shaft, a clutch mechanism disengageably coupling the rolling nut with the rotary drive shaft, a generally cylindrical journal frame and a cylindrical main frame. After a blind rivet having a drill point is inserted into a nose piece of this riveter, the main frame and rotary drive shaft are rotated in a suitable manner, whereby the desired drilling of the rivet hole and riveting operation can be accomplished. The riveter may alternatively comprise a shaft, a rolling nut, a jaw mechanism, a head frame, a rotary drive shaft, a rear clutch mechanism disengageably coupling the rolling nut with the rotary drive shaft, a generally cylindrical journal frame, a cylindrical main frame, a front cover, a rear cover and a forward clutch mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4821555
Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements in a hydropneumatic gun for setting blind-rivet nuts used for integrally securing, for example, two panels to each other with a nut. In the hydropneumatic gun for setting blind-rivet nuts, an air piston fitted in air cylinder is moved to pressurize oil housed in the gun body, causing an oil piston to be retracted, so that a screw mandrel attached to the oil piston at its tip is retracted to the inner part of the gun body, thereby to exert a deforming force to a sleeve of a nut threadedly mounted on the screw mandrel. The hydropneumatic gun for setting blind-rivet nuts comprises an air motor to be rotated by compressed air, an air motor driving air guide passage, an air motor forward/reverse rotation direction changeover mechanism for switching the rotation direction of the air motor, and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting an air motor driving force to the screw mandrel.

  • Patent number: 4344311
Abstract: A riveter comprises a turnable jaw case is disclosed. A jaw case tubular housing (170) is turnably supported by the forward end portion of the frame main body (101,) and lockable in a plurality of positions angularly spaced from each other. The orientation of the jaw case housing is easily changeable in accordance with the shape of the work to be riveted or with other conditions, so that rivets are settable very efficiently with only one riveter for any work irrespective of its shape.
