  • Patent number: 8463628
Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating subscription rights sales, typically in the form of season ticket sales, between buyers and sellers. Ticket holders are provided with the ability to identify selected tickets and to flexibly and easily establish criteria under which they will entertain offers to sell these tickets. Ticket holders may thus monetize unused tickets, under favorable conditions, based upon individual offers and without the requirement of a definite commitment to sell. Concomitantly, buyers are provided access to a large base of potentially available tickets, which might not otherwise be available for sale. Buyers may assemble offers based upon seller criteria and, in some instances, useful historical information.

  • Patent number: 7903904
Abstract: There are provided methods and systems for linking data related to a set of similar images in a manner that both facilitates collaborative data sharing and commenting to generate a more robust set of information about the collective set of images while concurrently allowing users to maintain control over their particular images. A useful and collaborative development of content is achieved between many users interacting with similar versions of the same image. The interacting users may, for example, be friends who may have shared the image through other means, perhaps many years before, or may otherwise be unknown to one another.

  • Patent number: 7813743
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for forwarding location dependent messages from a message sender's mobile cellular device to an intended recipient's mobile cellular device. The method is principally practiced in a communication network comprising a plurality of mobile cellular devices having location determining capabilities such as triangulation and GPS. In an embodiment, the message sender identifies an intended message recipient and selects a geographic location and corresponding radius of circumference defining geographic pre-conditions for transmitting the location dependent message to the intended message recipient. The message is first transmitted to a central server which periodically monitors the geographic location of the intended recipient in real time or near real-time to determine if the intended recipient enters within the radius of circumference of the geographic location selected by the message sender.

  • Patent number: 7797231
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for offering loans to users at a point-of-purchase transaction. Such loans are typically offered upon the decline of a user-tendered payment, for example of a credit or debit card or check, and typically at a retail physical location point of sale and/or at a retail website point of sale. The loan offer process is desirably integrated with the merchant's payment processing system. Term sets can be pre-established between the merchant and the loan offerer. Processing to determine whether to offer a loan and under which set of terms is desirably automated such that the decision can be made in substantially real time to motivate the completion of what might constitute an otherwise failed transaction.

  • Patent number: 7729709
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for promoting offered products and services to a plurality of mobile device users. The method generally comprises the steps of generating at least one general broadcast message directed to commercial offers of at least one provider (i.e., retailer) of the offered products and services. The general broadcast message is preferably broadcast from a central server over a prescribed geographic area. Responses from end users to the broadcast message are monitored at the central server to create profile information of the responding users for use in qualifying business relationships with the providers of said products and services. The responses may be further utilized to construct a market directed to inducing the providers of the offered products and services to purchase broadcast message blocks for future promotions. Establishment of such a market includes the establishment of pricing criteria based on user response rate statistics.

  • Patent number: 7352899
Abstract: There are provided new and improved methods and systems for producing machine-generated handwriting having realistic human appearance. In various embodiments, the handwriting may include characteristics of particular classes and/or characteristics of particular individuals. The handwriting includes an appropriate degree of randomness so as to be realistic in appearance. In a particular embodiment of the invention, at least one sample of a particular individual's handwriting is scanned and analyzed to determine the characteristics thereof. The handwriting characteristics include a degree of randomness representative of the scanned handwriting sample(s). The handwriting may be printed on a conventional printer, for example to generate a communication for a recipient.

  • Patent number: 7146239
Abstract: There are provided methods and systems for manufacturing consumer products such as clothing. In accordance with the invention, customer measurements and preferences are collected by a unique, small-footprint or private custom clothing shop. These measurements and preferences are stored and used in association with the manufacturer of custom clothing. Ordered clothing is manufactured through the provision of patterns, instructions and materials to skilled, pre-qualified sewing associates. In one embodiment of the invention, the consumer products are “broken” into discrete, separately-manufacturable pieces, each piece for assembly by a separate, geographically remote, skilled labor with final assembly of the various pieces is performed at a centralized location. Customized clothing can thus be manufactured by a highly skilled, cost effective and geographically disperse labor force, using electronically stored data and electronic communications to both coordinate manufacturing and ensure high-quality results.
