Abstract: A roller shade mounting system includes a pair of assemblies for limiting sagging in a roller shade tube. The assembly includes a single bearing supported by a shaft to position the bearing at a distance from an end of the tube. Alternatively, the assembly includes a bearing pair supported by a shaft to define spaced support points for applying a reaction moment the roller tube. The assembly further includes an attachment member secured to the shaft at a first end and to the structure at an opposite second end, either directly, or to a mounting bracket secured to the structure. The mounting assembly may further include a deflection adjustment member engaging the attachment member and a fixed support member to provide variable control of roller tube deflection.
Abstract: A power supply circuit comprising a first switching transistor having a control terminal and a control terminal switching threshold and that charges current from a voltage source into a charge storage capacitor, a control circuit controlling the on/off operation of the switching transistor whereby the switching transistor is turned on when the voltage of the voltage source is below a predetermined level and turned off when the voltage of the voltage source is above the predetermined level, a control voltage supply circuit providing a control voltage to the control terminal of the switching transistor substantially in excess of the switching threshold when the voltage of the voltage source is below the predetermined voltage thereby to drive the switching transistor on in a saturated region of operation; and a charge storage capacitor for providing an output voltage of the power supply.
Abstract: An electronic ballast for driving a gas discharge lamp includes a rectifier, a valley-fill circuit, an inverter having first and second series-connected controllably conductive switches having complementary duty cycles, a control circuit for controlling the controllably conductive switches, and an independent cat ear power supply to provide power to the ballast control circuits. The result is a ballast having substantially improved power factor, THD, and current crest factor. In a preferred embodiment, the valley-fill circuit includes an energy storage device that stores energy in response to a controllably conductive switch. In an especially preferred embodiment, the controllably conductive switch of the valley-fill circuit is also one of the switches of the inverter.
