An aluminum foil-based or corrugated board-based laminate for inhibiting ethylene response in plants comprises at least one layer of a polymer composition and at least one layer of aluminum foil or corrugated board. The polymer composition comprises an agent that blocks binding sites for ethylene response in plants, a solvent having slight solvency or no solvency, and a polymer or copolymer soluble in the solvent and water.
