The processing unit can also be configured to receive an acceleration value from the accelerometer, and determine an tilt angle value from the acceleration value that represents at least in part the tilt of the image sensor relative to the Earth's gravitational field or the horizon. The processing unit may also be configured to rotate at least a subset of the first plurality of image pixels of the image sensor based on the tilt angle value.
