  • Patent number: 5322453
Abstract: An RF jack and plug assembly provides 360.degree. of contact with a strong mechanical bond between the two parts. The jack has molded and stamped interrelated parts that predeterminedly position the parts for simple and accurate assembly. The construction provides positive electrical contact and long life for the contact elements with complete RF shielding.

  • Patent number: 4929188
Abstract: A microminiature coaxial connector is described. The connector comprises a male half and a female half and an annular electrical spring contact member which functions to provide continuous annular outer conductor electrical contact and RFI suppression. The annular spring member provides continuous annular outer conductor contact between facing surfaces at said male and female surfaces even during slight conductor misalignment. The spring is retained on said female member by a groove adjacent the outer end thereof, the outer end thereof is tapered away from a collar defining the outer end of the groove towards its axis, and the male member is at least 5% larger in diameter than the diameter of said female member adjacent the collar and said spring member extends at least 5% beyond the diameter of said collar.

  • Patent number: 4846696
Abstract: A microwave coupler device for connecting a first stripline conductor on one level to a second stripline conductor on another parallel level is described. The device includes a resiliently deformable electrically conductive member (preferably a metal-filled elastomer) for electrically contacting first and second stripline conductors within the device. There is provision for applying a longitudinal compressive force on the first and second stripline conductors compressing the resiliently deformable electrically conductive member between them. In certain embodiments the interconnected striplines can be rotated with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 4668043
Abstract: A solderless connector for semi-rigid coaxial cable having an elongate annular outer conductor, a center conductor coaxial with said outer conductor and a dielectric material spacing the inner and outer conductors apart, the connector comprising a housing having an annular portion defining a bore adapted to encompass said outer conductor and a bushing defining a bore to engage the exterior of the annular portion to circumferentially compress said annular portion upon telescoping movement of said bushing over said annular portion, said housing bore having, integral therewith, means adapted to engage said outer conductor upon said circumferential compression to provide a mechanical and electrical interface between said housing and said outer conductor.

  • Patent number: 4556271
Abstract: A hermetically sealed connector, suitable for use in the construction of a launcher for the transfer of energy from a coaxial cable to an integrated circuit, comprising an annular body defining a bore in which is disposed an annular insulator which in turn supports a central electrical contact, said body defining an external thread of relatively large diameter adapted for the connection of a coaxial connector thereto with the central contact of the connector in communication with the central contact, and having an annular extension defining a thread of relatively small diameter;an annular header defining a thread by which the header is connected to the body extension and a thread of relatively large diameter by which the header may be attached to a structure; anda hermetic seal means housed within said header in sealing engagement with said body in said header, said seal means including an elongate conductor extending from said central contact through said seal means in sealing engagement therewith.
