  • Patent number: 10544838
Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch assembly for a powertrain of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one clutch and at least one actuation device. The clutch can be brought into an open position and/or a closed position by means of the actuation device such that a first sub-region of the powertrain and a second sub-region of the powertrain are decoupled and/or coupled. The actuation device comprises an actuation element and a control element which is connected to the clutch. The control element is arranged in a guidable manner in a guide slot with respect to the actuation element, and the control element is held in the region of the guide slot by means of an energy storage element, which counteracts a movement of the control element out of a first stop position along the guide slot, in the closed position of the clutch. The invention also relates to a method for decoupling the first sub-region of the powertrain from the second sub-region of the powertrain by means of the clutch assembly.

  • Publication number: 20190195291
Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch unit for a motor vehicle, comprising: a clutch, the clutch having an axially stationary, rotatable coupling element with an axially extending toothing, and an axially displaceable, rotatable mating element with an axially extending mating toothing, the mating element being displaceable into a first position and a second position; and a sensor unit, the sensor unit being disposed radially in relation to the axial extension of the toothing of the coupling element such that the sensor unit senses the toothing of the coupling element. When the mating element is in the first position and when it is in the second position, the sensor unit detects a sensor signal via which the rotational speed of the coupling element and the first position of the mating element, the second position of the mating element, or a position of the mating element between the first position and the second position can be determined.

  • Patent number: 10247259
Abstract: A device for actuating a clutch-controlled transfer case including a rotatable selector shaft, a clutch cam disk rotatable about a clutch cam disk axis by means of the selector shaft and having a gate, and at least one scissor lever having an end guided in the gate. The gate has at least one curved portion having a continuously increasing radial distance from the clutch cam disk axis. The clutch cam disk defines an opening about the clutch cam disc axis, and the clutch cam disk defines a pair of stops extending radially into the opening. The selector shaft is rotatably positioned in the opening. The selector shaft includes a stopping member in radial alignment with the pair of stops such that the selector shaft can be rotated with respect to the clutch cam disk between two stops.

  • Patent number: 9879794
Abstract: A valve for use in a coolant flow. The valve comprises a valve housing with an inlet and at least one outlet, a valve body which is rotatably received by the valve housing, an actuator for rotating the valve body, and a fail-safe mechanism which can be pretensioned rotationally. The valve body is in rotational engagement with an axially moveable coupling element, via which the valve body is releasably connected indirectly to the actuator shaft. In the event of a fault, the valve body can be decoupled from the actuator shaft by an axial movement of the coupling element. The axial movement of the coupling element also causes the fail-safe mechanism to come into rotational engagement with the coupling element in order to rotate the valve body to a predefined fail-safe position.
