Publication number: 20100300782Abstract: An electric drive unit for a motor vehicle includes an electric motor having a stator that is fixed with respect to a stub axle and a rotor that is rotatably supported with respect to the stub axle. A gear system has its input connected to the rotor for torque transmission. A wheel carrier is connected to the output of the gear system for torque transmission. A first bearing of the wheel carrier is provide on a first axial side of the electric motor facing away from the gear system. A second bearing of the wheel carrier is provided either on the first axial side of the electric motor, or in the gear system, realized in the form of a bearing of a rotatable gear system part connected to the wheel carrier.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2010Publication date: December 2, 2010Applicant: Magnet-Motor Gesellschaft fuer magnetmotorische Technik mbHInventors: Fritz Walter, Andreas Heiland, Fritz Deibel, Peter Ehrhart

Patent number: 7214155Abstract: An electric drive unit for a motor vehicle comprises an electric motor having a motor housing, a stator mounted in the motor housing and having coil-wound poles, a rotor arranged internally of the stator with an air gap present between the stator and the rotor, and a planetary gear system having a sun wheel, a planet carrier, planet wheels and a ring gear. The planet wheels have a maximum diameter and axial positioning that an imaginary common envelope cylinder for all maximum diameters of the planet wheels is located radially inside of the winding heads present on one axial side of the stator and axially beside the portion of the rotor adjoining the air gap and that the planet wheels project in axial direction outwardly beyond said winding heads either not at all or with less than 50% of their tooth width in engagement with the sun wheel.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2005Date of Patent: May 8, 2007Assignee: Magnet-Motor Gesellschaft fuer magnetmotorische Technik mbHInventors: Anton Mueller, Fritz Walter, Peter Ehrhart, Jens Steffen

Patent number: 6451470Abstract: Gas diffusion electrodes (1) for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells are modified such that the diffusion of water therein is inhibited in comparison with un-modified electrodes. Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells with the modified gas diffusion electrodes can be operated, with on the average unchanged operating conditions, without addition of water, since the gas diffusion electrodes do not allow more water to escape than that formed during the reaction of burnable gas and oxidizing agent, and guarantee sufficient membrane moisture.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2000Date of Patent: September 17, 2002Assignee: Magnet-Motor Gesellschaft für Magnetmotorische Technik mbHInventors: Arthur Koschany, Christian Lucas, Thomas Schwesinger
