Abstract: A miter saw including a base for placing a workpiece thereon, a substantially circular turn table mounted on the base, a slide member radially slidably supported in the turn table, an arm mounted to the slide member, and a miter saw unit provided above the turn table and vertically swingably mounted to the arm in such a manner as to be opposed to the turn table. The miter saw unit has a cutting tool such as a circular saw blade and means for driving the cutting tool. A supporting portion of the slide member with respect to the turn table is located at a position in the vicinity of a load application point of the cutting tool.
