Abstract: A system for level regulation of a driver's cab of a commercial vehicle relative to a chassis of the vehicle includes a spring-loaded bearing in order to support the driver's cab in a sprung manner on the chassis of the vehicle; a distance sensor device arranged to record relative movements and/or a distance between the driver's cab and the chassis of the vehicle; and a control device that is arranged for variable control of the spring-loaded bearing, wherein signals of the distance sensor device are used to control the spring-loaded bearing. The spring-loaded bearing can be adjusted to a first height position (h1), so that the distance between the driver's cab and the chassis of the vehicle is controlled by the control device to a first target distance. The spring-loaded bearing can be adjusted to at least one second height position (h2), so that the distance between the driver's cab and the chassis of the vehicle is controlled by the control means to a second target distance.

  • Patent number: 9963003
Abstract: In a method for assisting a driver of a vehicle, a closed loop control device and/or open loop control device is switchable into multiple warning stages such that: if at least one temperature value measured by a temperature sensor exceeds a first defined threshold value, the closed loop control device and/or open loop control device switches into a first warning stage in which it is indicated to the driver to stop the vehicle within a defined period of time and/or within a defined section of road and/or that the driver is not to exceed a defined speed value. If the measured temperature value exceeds a second defined threshold value, greater than the first threshold value, the closed loop control device and/or open loop control device switches into a second warning stage in which it is indicated to the driver that the driver is to stop the vehicle immediately.

  • Patent number: 9863529
Abstract: A method for controlling a shift process of an automatic gearbox for a vehicle with an internal combustion engine as its engine, including specifying a shift strategy in a controller, by continuously predictively determining the behaviour of the engine following any shift process into a target gear on the basis of a current detected vehicle dynamic value, a current detected vehicle specific actual value, and/or a current detected engine specific actual value. The prediction results are taken into account and adapted shift thresholds are determined and specified as upshift thresholds or downshift thresholds for a fuel efficient shift. A control command for a corresponding automatic shift process is output after exceeding a shift threshold. The current temperature of at least one component of the engine exhaust system is taken into account during the specification of an adapted shift threshold.

  • Patent number: 9797316
Abstract: An operating method and device for a permanent brake system of a motor vehicle. The brake system includes a primary and a secondary permanent brake. Each brake generates respective adjustable braking torque components. The first primary brake has a response than the second primary brake. A third braking torque component is adjusted by the secondary brake. The permanent-brake braking request is applied by the first primary brake until the braking request exceeds a first threshold. The first threshold corresponds to a value less than or equal to a maximum braking torque generated by the first primary brake. After exceeding the first threshold, a component of the request is applied by the secondary permanent brake. A second threshold value corresponds to a value less than or equal to a braking torque that can be generated when the first primary permanent brake device interacts with the secondary permanent brake.
