    Abstract: An absolute angular sensor of a steering system for vehicles, which includes a power supply for supplying power, a pulse supply for generating pulses, a linear variable displacement transducer operated by a pulse outputted from the pulse generator for sensing a variable displacement of a rotator disc mounted at a steering shaft when the steering shaft operates, and outputting a signal in proportion to the sensed rotation displacement, a demodulator for demodulating the outputted signal from the linear variable displacement transducer, a DC (Direct Current) amplifier for amplifying the rectified external displacement from the demodulator into a certain level, and a DC output part for providing a signal output amplified by the DC amplifier, whereby it is possible to sense an absolute position accurately and an absolute angle of the steering shaft accurately.

    Abstract: A solenoid valve for an anti-lock brake system is disclosed in which two orifices and oil passages are formed utilizing a valve seat and a piston. The solenoid valve includes a magnetic core (130) mounted in a bore (101) formed on a modulator (100), a plunger (140) movably mounted in the magnetic core (130), a valve seat (150) disposed below the magnetic core (130) in the bore (101), and a piston (200) movably mounted at the periphery of the valve seat (150). The valve seat (150) has an invariable orifice (320) formed at the inner middle portion of the valve seat, an inlet and outlet passages (300) and (310) formed below and above the invariable orifice (320), respectively. The piston (200) has a variable orifice (340) formed passing through one side of the upper portion of the piston. A lip seal (400) is provided between the outer periphery of the piston (200).

    Abstract: A solenoid valve for an anti-lock brake system is disclosed which has two orifices and oil passages formed a magnetic core so that at the slip mode the amount of hydraulic oil transmitted to a wheel sylinder can be varied, its structure is simplified and its manufacture is facilitated. The solenoid valve includes a magnetic core 130 inserted into a bore 101 in a modulator 100 which has an inlet and outlet passages 300 and 310 and an invariable orifice 320, a plunger 140 installed in the magnetic core 130, and a piston 200A installed in the inlet passage 300. The piston 200A has an eccentric hole 202 formed vertically passing through its interior and a groove 203 on its top surface, thus forming a variable orifice 340 along with a lower end of the invariable orifice 320. The magnetic core 130 has a through hole 330 formed slanting upward. A lip seal 400 is formed between the outer periphery of the magnetic core 130 and the bore 101.

A generating section generates electricity by means of a bypassed hydraulic pressure according to the order of the control section.

The system and method effectively selects appropriate damping force curves for the dampers of the four wheels in accordance with both an output vertical acceleration signals from three vertical acceleration sensors installed on the dampers of three wheels and an output axle acceleration signal from an axle acceleration sensor installed on the axle. At the resonance frequency band of a car body, the system and method controls the suspension according to the vertical speeds and ride values, calculated from the vertical acceleration signals, thus reducing the uncomfortable riding effects of the vehicle. Meanwhile, at the resonance frequency band of the axle, the system and method controls the suspension with a higher damping force thus securing steering safety of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A steering system of automobiles for absorbing impact force, which comprises a steering tube, connected to a steering handle, having a plurality of fixing openings for fixing balls therein; a steering shaft partially inserted into the steering tube and having a plurality of multi-stepped guide grooves for guiding the balls; and the balls positioned in the fixing openings of the steering tube. The guide grooves are adjacent to the fixing openings at one end and extended longitudinally for a predetermined distance, and the balls travel from the fixing openings into the multi-stepped guide grooves between the steering tube and the steering shaft, generating frictional force and absorbing impact force. Hence, the impact force is absorbed by the multi-stepped portions of the guide grooves and gradually transmitted to the driver from the beginning to the end of a collision to ensure the driver with enough time to react to the collision, thereby minimizing injury to the driver.
