Abstract: A table game system having a table surface and a shuffling device for holding a set of cards. Each of the cards in the set of cards bears indicia relevant to determining an outcome of a game of chance. A computer is in communication with the set of cards for determining the indicia of each of the plurality of cards. The table system has a plurality of local terminals in communication with a computer and associated with the table surface for receiving wagers adjacent the table surface. A plurality of remote terminals associated with the table surface for receiving a wager from a player located remotely from the table surface. The plurality of remote terminals are each in communication with the computer. The computer is configured to resolve any wagers from the plurality of local terminals and the plurality of remote terminals automatically based on the outcome of the game of chance.

Abstract: A card shuffling machine for a game of chance includes a base portion and a rotatable body in communication with the base portion. The rotatable body portion includes a plurality of slots disposed therein. Each of the plurality of slots is configured to receive a card of the defined set of cards. Each of the cards includes indicia relevant to an outcome of the game of chance. The shuffling machine includes at least one reader associated with one of the plurality of slots and configured to communicate with the card disposed in the one slot to obtain information about the indicia of the card. The card shuffling machine includes a display in communication with the at least one reader for displaying the indicia of the card when the card is in the slot.

Abstract: A wheel assembly for a rotary shuffling device includes a fixed base portion with a central opening formed therein and a lower wheel assembly portion secured to the fixed base portion. The lower wheel assembly portion includes a flange portion and a sleeve portion extending from an underside of the flange portion. The sleeve portion is received within the central opening. The flange portion includes a central aperture formed therein. A bearing is disposed within the sleeve portion. An upper wheel assembly portion is in rotational communication with the lower wheel assembly portion. The upper wheel assembly portion has a top portion and a hub portion extending from an underside of the top portion. The hub portion includes an axle portion extending therefrom and through the central aperture for engagement with the bearing.
