The curtain includes a plurality of frame members and at least one panel connected between the frame members. Each frame member includes a proximal portion configured to mate with the post of a respective base support member, and a distal portion that is hingedly connected to the proximal portion. In a deployed state of the base support members, the legs extend radially outward from the base, and in a non-deployed state of the base support members, the legs extend axially parallel with the post. In a deployed state of the curtain, the distal portion is unfolded relative to the proximal portion, and in a non-deployed state of the curtain, the distal portion is folded relative to the proximal portion.

A second coupling defines a second transverse cavity receiving the cross bar and a second pair of axial cavities receiving the second pair of legs. A locking mechanism is disposed in at least one of the cross bar and the first pair of legs. A communication feature includes a message portion providing a predetermined message saved in a memory. A sensor provides indication of the proximity of a person to the portable message device. A processor is connected to the sensor and the memory. The processor actuates the communication feature upon sensing the proximity of the person. A power source positioned substantially within the internal base cavity provides electrical power to operate the communication feature and the sensor, the power source being accessible by opening the base access panel.

Handle rotation moves the sliding member toward the bracket assembly moving the corner brace member from a stowed condition proximate the support tube away from the support tube to a deployed condition.

Abstract: A portable sign assembly is provided and includes a sign assembly that is selectively interconnected with a base assembly. The sign assembly includes a vertical brace extending therefrom that is in sliding engagement with an upright of the base assembly. A sign release mechanism is further provided and is disposed on the upright for releasably securing the sign and base assemblies. The release mechanism includes a lock-pin that is slidably disposed through the upright and is biased in a first position by a spring member disposed within the upright. The lock-pin selectively engages the vertical brace for prohibiting sliding motion between the vertical brace and the upright.
