Abstract: A cutting tool, such as a saw blade, has a carrier forming at least one cylindrical receptacle and at least one abutment jaw for a cutting insert. The cutting insert includes a cylindrical main cutting body and a cutting edge protruding radially therefrom, which on the back of the cutting edge has at least one abutment for the abutment jaw. The cutting insert can be inserted into the receptacle transversely to the cutting direction and, in the inserted position, can be rotated between an inserted position and a cutting position. The cutting insert is secured in the cutting position using an anti-rotation lock and is inserted into the cylindrical receptacle in the manner of a bayonet connection. Despite simple production and mounting conditions, the cutting tool ensures adequate stability and strength of interchangeable cutting inserts on the carrier such that thin-cut applications, such as carrier thicknesses of under 6 mm.

  • Publication number: 20230018816
Abstract: In a reprofiling method of a rail (2) of a laid rail track (1) during a travel movement of a machining vehicle (13) along a rail track (1) in a section of its running surface (10) located on the rail head (5), a machining unit (14) includes a first and a second machining aggregate (16, 20). In a first machining step, material is removed in a milling process. In this process, a surface corrugation with corrugation crests (18) and corrugation troughs (19) is formed. In the second machining step, the surface corrugation is reduced by plastic deformation of the corrugation crests (18) by at least one forming force (21) directed towards the running surface (10) to be machined and applied in a pulsating manner.

  • Patent number: 11498423
Abstract: A rail-mounted rail processing machine has at least one traction motor and with at least one working unit for processing tracks, a permanent energy source, an electrical energy storage and a current collector. The components are connected to a common direct current network via power converters. In order to create a rail-mounted rail processing machine that allows low-maintenance and environmentally friendly operation of working aggregates with strongly varying peak loads without having to accept losses in the processing quality, the permanent energy source is a fuel cell which feeds at least one base load of the working unit into the direct current network via one of the power converters. To cover peak loads of at least the working unit, buffer energy of the electrical energy storage acting as a buffer store is feedable into the direct current network via an associated one of the power converters.

  • Publication number: 20210308820
Abstract: The system described herein relates to machining the running surface of a rail by means of at least one rotating, chip-removing shaping tool which can be moved along the rail and can be pressed at least against its running surface. In order to create advantageous design conditions, it is proposed that after the machining with the chip-removing shaping tool at least one rolling body which is adapted to the shape-machined rail surface is rolled over the rail, with cold deformation of the running surface of the rail, in order to level out unevenness of the running surface of the rail.
