Abstract: A wireless communication base station apparatus that can raise the usage efficiency of the frequency resources of the whole system in a multicarrier transmission. In this apparatus, a separating part (103) separates symbols received from a modulating part (102) into symbols to be assigned to a first subcarriers group and into symbols to be assigned to a second subcarriers group. A setting part (106-1) sets the transmission power of the symbols, which are to be assigned to the first subcarriers group, to a power value as calculated by a power calculating part (105), while a setting part (106-2) sets the transmission power of the symbols, which are to be assigned to the second subcarriers group, to a power value as calculated by the power calculating part (105). Thus, the transmission power control is differently performed between the symbols to be assigned to the first subcarriers group and the symbols to be assigned to the second subcarriers group.

Abstract: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery of the present invention includes a nonaqueous electrolyte and a positive electrode 13 that occludes lithium ions reversibly. The positive electrode 13 includes active material layers 13b and a sheet-like collector 13a that supports the active material layers 13b. The collector 13a contains aluminum and at least one element other than aluminum. The average composition that is obtained by averaging the ratio of the elements composing the collector 13a in the direction of the thickness of the collector 13a is equal to the composition of an alloy whose liquidus temperature is 630° C. or lower. The present invention makes it possible to prevent heat from being generated due to an internal short circuit in the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.

Abstract: In order to direct a probe having directivity that a received band is widened in accordance with a measurement distance, toward a DUT, shift the received band of the probe in sequence, receive electromagnetic, and measure electromagnetic interference, a plurality of long and short measurement distances between the probe and the DUT are set, and measurement at the long measurement distance and measurement at the short measurement distance are performed plural times. Herein, the measurement at the short measurement distance is performed on a received band where electromagnetic interference is measured by the measurement at the long measurement distance. Thus, measurement of electromagnetic interference can be performed with high accuracy in a short time.

  • Patent number: 6625574
Abstract: An input digital audio signal is divided into sub-band signals in respective sub-bands. Scale factors of the respective sub-bands are determined on the basis of the sub-band signals for every frame. Calculation is made as to differences between the determined scale factors for a first frame and the determined scale factors for a second frame preceding the first frame. Absolute values of the calculated scale-factor differences are calculated, and data representative of the calculated absolute values are generated. The data representative of the calculated absolute values are encoded into data of a Huffman code. Sign bits are generated which represent signs of the calculated scale-factor differences. The sub-band signals are quantized in response to the determined scale factors for every frame to generate quantized samples of the sub-band signals. The Huffman-code data, the generated sign bits, and the quantized samples of the sub-band signals are combined into a bit stream.

  • Patent number: 6219392
Abstract: A filter device includes a first section for receiving data of a desired cutoff frequency. A second section operates for deciding whether the desired cutoff frequency is in a predetermined low frequency band or a predetermined high frequency band. The predetermined low frequency band is lower in frequency than the predetermined high frequency band. A third section stores data of filter coefficients corresponding to different cutoff frequencies in the predetermined low frequency band. A fourth section stores data of precalculated basic coefficients corresponding to different cutoff frequencies in the predetermined high frequency band. The precalculated basic coefficients are equal to values resulting from a part of calculation to provide final filter coefficients. A fifth section operates for calculating final filter coefficients from precalculated basic coefficients through a coefficient expanding process.
