Patent number: 10005588Abstract: A case for storing tobacco products comprises body having a cavity formed therein. A divider traverses the cavity and defines a boundary between first and second compartments within the cavity. A first lid is pivotally coupled to the body by a first hinge, and a second lid is pivotally coupled to the body by a second hinge. The first lid can be detachably coupled to the divider so as to enclose the first compartment, and the second lid can be detachably coupled to the divider so as to enclose the second compartment. Preferably, the divider is offset from the medial centerline of the body, so that the first compartment has the same length and depth, but a smaller width, than the second compartment. Thus, the case may be configured such that a single tobacco product can be stored in the first compartment, and multiple tobacco products of the same type can be stored in the second compartment.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2016Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignee: Maurice S. Patent number: 9517423Abstract: A toy construction set comprises a base block and one or more rotating blocks configured for coupling to the base block, to other rotating blocks, or to both. The base block may be define by an upper surface, a lower surface, and at least one side surface. The base block may comprise a body and a plurality of projections extending outward from the body. Interior cylindrical surfaces may extend between the upper surface and the lower surface of the base block. An upper chamfer may connect the interior cylindrical surface with the upper surface, and a lower chamfer may connect the interior cylindrical surface with the lower surface. The rotating blocks may comprise a hub having a body and a grip extending upward from the upper end of the body. Optionally, the hub may also have a coupling mechanism extending downward from the lower end of the body. Structural elements may emanate from the body of the hub.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2014Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Assignee: Maurice S. Kanbar Revocable TrustInventors: Maurice S. Patent number: 8486016Abstract: An apparatus for shielding a hypodermic needle after use may include a device adapted to accommodate a needle extending from an end thereof, a guard element coupled to the device, a lock element, and an indicator element. The guard element may slide axially with respect to the device and may include a slider portion and a shield portion. The shield portion may include an open slot to accommodate the needle. Upon sliding the guard element to a designated position, the lock element may automatically secure a position of the guard element relative to the device, such that the shield portion obstructs access to the needle tip. The indicator element may provide visual, audible, and/or tactile feedback to indicate that the lock element has been actuated to shield the needle tip.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2011Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Maurice S.
