Patent number: 10836084Abstract: Plastic containers are described herein that are injection molded with an high density polyethylene (HDPE) blow molding grade resin having a density of about 0.960 to about 0.965 g/cc, and a melt index of about 0.7 to about 1.0 g/10 min., at injection temperatures of about 570° F. to about 670° F., and mold cavity pressures of about 20,000 psig to about 27,000 psig. Relatively thin walled, rigid, containers, such as livestock feed containers, may be manufactured as described using about 20% to 50% less material while retaining strength and durability comparable to containers molded of HDPE injection molding grade resins.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2015Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: Maxi-Lift, Inc.Inventors: Victor A. Patent number: 9605730Abstract: A device for splicing two belt ends together, the device having a first outer clamping plate, a second outer clamping plate, and a central plate disposed between the first and second outer clamping plates. Each of the first and second outer clamping plates includes inwardly facing surfaces oriented toward the central plate. Gripping surfaces of the devices are improved. A first gripping region is disposed on the inwardly facing surfaces of the first and second outer clamping plates, the first gripping region having a plurality of rows of teeth. A second gripping region is disposed on the inwardly facing surfaces of the first and second outer clamping plates and includes spaced apart elongated recesses positioned parallel to a long axis of the first and second outer clamping plates. A wedge member, to accommodate different sized and shaped belts, is removably coupled to an end of the central plate.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2014Date of Patent: March 28, 2017Assignee: Maxi-Lift, Inc.Inventors: Paul Daniel Phillips, Lars Mees Muller, Willem Bertus van der Wouden

Patent number: 9540210Abstract: Belt core and belt core systems for winding a belt or other winding material are described. The belt core and belt core system described are lightweight and reusable. The belt core and belt core system includes at least one belt core unit. A plurality of units may be combined to form a belt core system, in which each unit has the same general size and is configured with means for interlocking each unit with another unit. This provides customization of the described system so that it may accommodate a winding material of any width.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2014Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: Maxi-Lift, Inc.Inventors: Paul Phillips, Wade Randall Spencer, Jeffrey Carlisle Jowers

Patent number: 4540389Abstract: A device for splicing ends of a belt together in juxtaposed relation includes a central generally planar spacer element and two outer generally planar belt clamping elements. The ends of the belt are positioned between the spacer and respective clamping elements so that the clamping effect occurs across the mating surfaces thereof. A through bolt and nut are used to tighten the spacer, belt and clamping element arrangement together. The generally planar surfaces of the spacer element transform into oppositely, outwardly curving belt engaging surfaces at opposite edges thereof, resulting in a form of "I" or "bone" cross-section. The opposing surfaces of the two belt clamping elements have complementing inwardly curving belt engaging surfaces that cooperate to pre-tension the belt as the clamping elements are tightened together.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1983Date of Patent: September 10, 1985Assignee: Maxi-Lift, Inc.Inventor: Earl A.
